Burning Season by goshdarnart Burning Season by goshdarnart
This is my first big piece of digital art. It was created using a photo, several textures I've created, default Paint Shop Pro filters, and a mouse. My wrist really hated me by the time I was done.

Concept: Realistic line art and paint texture
Symbolize: The changing of summer into autumn
Colors: Warm and dynamic, I wanted colors that snapped and crackled like fire and immediately bring to mind the change in season
Meaning: The basic meaning of the work is the burning away of the old, revealing the bones beneath. I'm going through a lot of changes in my own life, and I feel like this is what I'm doing. I'm getting rid of the last bit of an old season in my life to make way for new possibilities - my own spring.

Please, no heavy concrit in comments. I'd rather it be e-mailed to me privately.

This is not a texture to be used for blends or icons, please and thank you.

Thank you. The branches took the longest, because I had to work to make them stand out through the textures I used. I'm glad it worked.

Thank you! I was actually really nervous posting this, so the first comment being even slightly positive means a lot. Now I must go over and eyeball your stuff. :)
