I've been playing this game called munchkin a lot lately, I know it sounds lame, but it's really quite fun. Anyway I found out you can order blank cards and so I made some of my own. Here's a bunch of door cards. I had some problems in the medium though, the cards are small and pencils don't work very well on them so they're pretty much all free hand. The paper is glossy so ink dries slowly and they're also fiberous so I my pens kept getting clogged. I think the only way i could really make them look good is to draw them larger on seperate paper, scale them down and screenprint them on the actual cards, but that seems like a lot of work for something that's a novelty at best. Oh well I had fun anyway. Also, I should warn you there are some inside jokes on these cards.
There's an interesting rule for the Fairy cards I never mentioned.
A Fairy, if given a name, can be played as a second character, totally separate from your original character, with all the attributes available to a regular character (level, class, items, etc.) except they can't ride steeds or have Hirelings and can't stop being a Fairy (although they can be half breeds and quit being half breeds.) They share your turn and your hand. You can only play two characters at a time, not even a cheat card will allow you to control three characters.
Fairies don't kick down doors, but you can choose to look for trouble for them instead of yourself and if you sell stuff, you can give the level to the fairy (your carried items are kept separate but obviously its easy to trade with yourself.) They start at level 1, get a level every time they help you beat a monster (but not vice-verse, unless you're an Elf,) and they CAN win the game. If a Fairy wins, it's NOT considered a Win for the Player who played it, and if they help you win at any level, it's considered a tie.
Fairies can help other players (and must help other fairies for nothing if asked,) but they must run away just as any other player would and they can suffer bad stuff and curses.
If a fairy dies it does Not come back, and if anything forces it to stop being a fairy, everyone else rolls off and high roller takes control of the fairy and all items it was carrying. If you die and your fairy lives, your fairy can loot your body and you can still come back.
You can't discard a Fairy you've named, but you can relinquish control of them to another player. I think that's most of the rules for them.
In theory, you could play this rule for any race (Halfling would work well,) but I would include the NO BIG ITEM rule, which is a regular Race restriction for Fairies.
It's actually incredibly to play as an ENT. Unless you are lucky enough to get a lot of hand items (which aren't flame, axes or saws,) I've only been successful as an ENT in one game, and it was because I got a hireling to wear the helm of epic proportion which allowed me to wear headgear (ENT and FAIRY EPIC abilities are that they lose all their disabilities,) and wore a fake beard, which was really helpful since I had a shitload of DWARF weapons. I'm pretty sure that's the only time I've seen ANYONE do well with an ENT. So I wouldn't say they're cheap.
Fairy and ent are races? Very cool. I invented some classes (not too original ones, but they're cool) for munchkin, but didn't uploaded yet. Your pictures are freakin awesome. Take a look to my gallery, maybe you find something interesting.
