The Silent Middle Class Will Roar

Journal Entry: Thu Sep 23, 2010, 9:11 AM
Quotes of Reason or Warning?

"The purpose of morality is to teach you, not to suffer and die, but to enjoy yourself and live."

"The hardest thing to explain is the glaringly evident which everybody had decided not to see."

"Why do they always teach us that it's easy and evil to do what we want and that we need discipline to restrain ourselves? It's the hardest thing in the world--to do what we want.

A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others"

"Achieving life is not the equivalent of avoiding death."

"A government is the most dangerous threat to man's rights: it holds a legal monopoly on the use of physical force against legally disarmed victims."

"The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws."

"Upper classes are a nation's past; the middle class is its future."

"Poverty is everyone's problem. It cuts across any line you can name: age, race, social, geographic or religious. Whether you are black or white; rich, middle-class or poor, we are ALL touched by poverty."
Kathleen Blanco

"Why is this government so insensitive to the concerns of the middle-class people?"

There is no distinction for the middle class;the corporations,Government, insurance companies, and banking system have have stolen money, passed unconstitutional laws, degraded with crippling policies of bureaucracy, and is busy at turning the patriots into a class of criminals. They will keep building more prisons for the new generations and create an anger they can not ignore.

At present young people in America are losing rights and have little recourse. The legislatures are passing more and more laws as 'Felonies.'
As a result, no place will hire them;let's say they straighten out their lives, and earn a college degree, there is little guarantee they will get a job due to a felony charge. The creation of a felony class?? We better pray to our supreme being this doesn't happen. It has been happening to the poor class for decades, now it is coming home to white America.
Families are failing, drug use increases, jobs are  sparse, and the bail out money for our financial industry has not 'trickled down' as the white conservatives like too say.  Well, that is all politicians do is talk, they rarely act. Our capitalist system is soo fat with red tape, for instance, an agency of the federal government, one agency, has over a million pages of policies, they can wield to extort money and destroy any citizen,at any time. My question is, How is it possible things will change in our government with bureaucrats creating more policies to keep their jobs?? We are in a financial, social, and ideological crisis and all the media can ever cover are Republicans and Democrats arguing the same stuff day after day, after day!! Shame on the media! You hear no solutions,no reasoning, just goons attacking each other, exploiting any piece of dirt they can find.

If a people think not their government works with reasoning then they shall remove it.  If a government treads on it's people, they have a right to create a new one.

Finally, is our government soo filled with hubris and arrogance that they can not see what lurks on the horizon?? Did we fail too see 9/11? Did we fail in Katrina?  Did our financial systems lure us in and steal our life savings and create a new class of bankruptcy??
Is our legal system creating a felony class??  and how about our new oil spill disaster? A resounding Yes!!! to all!!!

But you know, don't do nothing,it's okay, all will be well;sounds like something a politician would say.  They can't ignore a consensus of citizens. They are making all kinds of promises for the November elections, promises they will never deliver.  I hope for a peaceful political, social, and financial change in America.

Remember these two quotes:

"A government is the most dangerous threat to man's rights: it holds a legal monopoly on the use of physical force against legally disarmed victims."  by Ayn Rand

"The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws."

Congressman Weiner United States Congress

Journal Entry: Sat Jul 31, 2010, 10:16 AM
Please view this link. The subject is this: During the September 11th terrorist attack many fireman and first responders were exposed to polluted air particles from the building debris that burned for weeks. Of course bush's EPA official said the air was not dangerous. A few months after their exposure to the polluted air, fire, police, construction workers and EMT persons started having debilitating lung disease and became sick with fibrotic lung damage. These were young healthy persons before the exposure. A long story short, these victims quickly exhausted there health insurance and had to retire to disability. This type of lung disease basically debilitates the person to sitting with oxygen treatment for the rest of their life, not too mention frequent lung infections further hardening the lung tissue. There is no cure and the path of fibrotic lung disease is death at a young age. Congressman Weiner wrote a law that would give these brave people extended health care, with access to the latest medicine and treatments, just to extend their lives. He's angry because like most politicians they play politics. This means no matter if the bill makes sense or is the right thing to do,or the moral thing to do, the opposing party will vote no just to oppose the other party. In this case, a Democrat Congressman Weiner sponsored the new law and most of the Republicans voted against it. Congressman wiener is outraged and he is telling them. By the way, he is right,he rises above the political game and tries to help people. This is exactly what Americans are angry about with our political system. We are angry at the behavior of the Republicans or any position that plays this unconscionable game, especially when lives depend on health care just to live. Could there be any better of a glaring example of how our system of government has stalemated. The system is so polarized that nothing can be accomplished. The Republicans are behaving like bureaucrats and as long as they have power nothing will change for the greater good. I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican. I agree some with Democrats and some issues with the Republicans. I consider myself an Independent. Over the past 25 years, millions of Americans have watched both parties voting against good bills that would help the country. It 's like a fanatical type, for example,I will vote against your idea just because your political philosophy. It  matters not if the idea is good. This is a system of bureaucrats and the people need to raise their voice and create a grass roots political party to vote the current system out. To those that think it can never change or are indifferent to political systems, get involced. If you think the government in Washington has no relevance over our lives, better look again.  Here's a poll of what Amnerican's think about the '911 Health Care compensation Act'

www.nydailynews.com/nydn/poll.…

Congressman Wiener I applaud you. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOPNwv…
