The Owl House S.U.B. - Xanatos

A long time ago, back when the Demon Realm was still young, there was an advanced divine race that collected the mortal species across the multiverse, fittingly named as the Collectors. When two of the Collectors came to the Boiling Isles, one of them, soon to be named Sapphira, developed a fascination for the beasts who lived there and sought to nurture them, including the young Titans around the land and the young Collector who just wanted to play with those he collected. The other, soon to be called Xanatos, felt that same need to help once. When the rest of their kind invaded the Demon Realm, furious at the Titans for interfering with them, Xanatos forged the Sword of Night while Sapphira forged the Sword of Day to help fight against the malignant beings. And thanks to these two collectors, the Demon Realm was saved, and they rejoiced. But over time, however, his desire to help began to get corroded.

One after another, the very people he tried to help expected his help as though they had a right to him. And even worse, when something didn't go the way it planned, he was always blamed for it. He began to realize that his help actually brought about their arrogance. Having had enough, he sought out the Collector and set him free to have him cause havoc on the residents. The alliance was short-lived, forcing Xanatos to use the sword to trap him inside it and use his power against his will. Sapphira was heartbroken to see him corrupted and vile like her ancestors.

The two of them fought against each other for the fate of the Boiling Isles. In the end, Sapphira defeated Xanatos and banished him in the same prison the young Collector was. Sadly, after the fight, she had assumed the sword was destroyed, and with it, the lonely boy who was trapped inside. For all that time since, Sapphira lived a melancholic life until she met Adam Kingston, one of the first trio of humans to have ever entered the Demon Realm and found love.

As for Xanatos, he stewed in his prison, focusing his magic and prowess until the day when he is free from his prison, and the moment he is released, Xanatos will reclaim what was once his, and all shall know him as the Emperor of All Existence...
