Description
Hello.
Truth be told, I actually grew up with Pokemon's first season, mainly by V.H.S. And it was a joy to watch when I was a kid back then, but as I grew older, I realized how underdone Ash's development was. I assumed they were trying not to make Ash overpowered, and that is understandable, but downgrading him like this was a total bummer overall. So, this rewrite is to serve not only as a bridge between the old and new generations, but also to give Ash the development he deserves. Here's a full chapter list with what I have planned.
1. Pokémon, I Choose You!
2. Pokémon Emergency!
3. Ash Catches a Pokémon
4. Challenge of the Samurai
5. First Gym Battle in Pewter City
6. Clefairy and the Moon Stone
7. Gym Battle at Cerulean City
8. Path to the Pokémon League
9. School of Hard Knocks
10. Bulbasaur and the Hidden Village
11. The Stray Pokémon Charmander
12. Electric Shock Showdown
13. Gym Battle at Saffron City
14. The Tower of Ghosts
15. Gym Battle at Saffron City Redux
16. Meeting the Boss
17. Primeape Goes Bananas!
18. Gym Battle at Celadon City
19. Hypno’s Naptime
20. Ash’s Eggcellent Adventure
21. Butterfree’s New Friend
22. Gym Battle at Fuschia City
23. The Kangaskhan Kid
24. Breaking Through The Limit
25. Bulbasaur’s Mysterious Garden
26. Burning Passion
27. Gym Battle at Cinnabar Island
28. Viridian City’s Gym Leader — Giovanni?!
29. The Strongest Pokémon Battle
30. The Kanto Pokémon League Ceremony
31. Round One: Water Field
32. Fire and Ice
33. Fourth Round Grudge Match
34. A Friend in Deed
35. Ash vs. Ritchie
36. A Father-Son Battle Royale
37. The New Pokémon Champion
38. A Trainer’s Test
39. A Trainer’s Cause
40. A Trainer’s Destiny
41. The Monster of Cerulean Cave
42. The True Power of Mewtwo
43. The World of Pokémon
And of course, Ash won't be going alone at the beginning of his journey. In this story, Trace and Elaine will be coming along as well, along with their own female Pikachu and Eevee. And to add to the surprises, they'll also encounter the people we know very well in the games. For now, here's a list of the cast to expect.
Sarah Natochenny - Ash Ketchum
Cassandra Morris - Elaine
Brandon Wrinckler - Trace
Cristina Vee - Green
Rachael Lillis - Misty
Bill Rogers - Brock
Michelle Knotz - Jessie
James Carter Cathcart - James/Meowth
Max Mittelman - Gary Oak
Keith Silverstein - Professor Oak
Maureen Price - Daisy Oak
Ted Lewis - Giovanni
Dan Green - Mewtwo
Veronica Taylor - Delia Ketchum
Lara Woodhull - Molly Hale
There's at least three more to expect, but I'd rather not spoil it for you. That said, I will say that Pokemon themselves will communicate with their trainers to a personal level, much like Ash did with Pikachu in Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You, meaning that while the Pokemon still don't talk the way humans do, apart from Meowth, the trainers will be able to understand where they're going. After all, there's still a lot about Pokemon we don't know, and some of the info about them is cleared up with Legends: Arceus. But there's still a lot more to learn, and I'm hoping to find them out myself. For now, we'll stick with what we do know.
