DBX: Bowser VS Venom!
THE MUSHROOM KINGDOM….
It had been an ordinary morning for Mario, at least so far. He woke up, showered, threw on his famous overalls, red shirt, and red cap, and had his morning coffee with a breakfast mushroom. The sun was shining nicely through the window, and everything was good…
That is, until a voice whispered “You know the princess is gone again, right?”
Mario stopped eating and looked around the room, not seeing any sign of life other than himself. Adrenaline built up within the plumber as he darted for the door, only for it to be blocked off by a spider web of some sort.
“No, you aren’t ready yet. You let him continue his reign of terror. Why? Because you’re just a protector.” The voice continued. Chills ran up Mario’s spine as he saw a pair of crescent moon-shaped eyes appear from the darkness, paired with rows of sharp teeth and a snake-like tongue.
“The Mushroom Kingdom needs… a lethal protector.”
