The Time Being

    As hard as it was to comprehend the horse’s tail, its eyes were even worse: looking into them was like looking in the other direction of where its tail went. Whereas Peter thought its tail went on forever, it felt like its eyes were the end of everything. Like a piece of nothing from the end of the universe had been brought backward and was resting just behind its dark, graceful lashes.

This is the cover art for the single release, which came out last year. I went through a number of different thumbnails before settling on this one, which is perhaps the most literal interpretation of the story… though I've left out the city-building on the grounds that might be stretching it, and besides, I had enough to draw already.
