Another test of the Moon Unit. Single light with partially rolled bristol board as a backdrop.

I got those cards when I was what.. 18? I still use them. I'm 38 now.

Long time for one deck to survive. Still never been wrong with them either. Twice people have told me that I was 'wrong'.. then they came back later and told me I was right after all.

The Tanto there is an interesting thing to... Surgical stanless, full tang with a bone handle... but the STORY behind it.... ;-)

gGreat composition, nice and simple, the soft light adds nicely to the atmosphere too. Love the cup (goblet?). I've got a set of tarot cards myself, not that i use them much...

Thank you for the kind comments.

You should use your cards more often... they do not tell the future... they just help people think about it.. and the past... and present.

It is a useful skill to have when someone anyone needs help... even if you don't have them with you.

my pleasure.
I've never used my cards to tell me the future, I've used them to help me think and understand :) But it's hard for me to find the right time to use them because the people i live with...well they don't understand and there will be all kinds of judgment going on if i even attempt to explain.

That is unfortunate. They likely think you are 'doing something wrong' by just using a tool that helps one's own personal reflection on matters. Stay true to yourself, even if you have to do it privately.

Know there is at least one person out there that has your back on this!!!

Good still life - the array of textures and solid theme is intriguing. For some reason, my eye wishes the hydrangea wasn't cut off because it adds a cobwebby softness to contrast with the steel. I like the lighting, though. You certainly have an eye for that!

Tell me about it....

The ' wasted flowers' angle was cool... but the actual 'flowers' were so badly damaged.... I wanted to keep that as minimal in the picture as possible.

Damn, you have a good eye!

I never thought you one to know the subtler angels between time and space.... ;-)

Ever read Lovecraft? I might just have an interesting project for you.... message me for details.

Oh, being female, I can intuit the subtler angles of time and space. I'm less familiar with Lovecraft, though. What's the project?

The 'angels' comment was completely sarcastic. Just looking at your work is enough to know that you are seeing things ' differently' as well! ;-)

In the Lovecraft vein, you art reminds me of a cross of two stories.. one about Richard Pickman ( a painter ) and the other of Eric Zahn ( a Violinist ).. both of whom have a disturbing connection to things 'man was not meant to know'.

That's the gist of just about all of Lovecraft's stories... that dreaded fear that all our world is just a thin veil over something terrible and ancient beyond time. Dark things swim in the deep waters and we must stay to the thin band of light found only on the surface, praying that nothing rises from the depths to consume us. Plankton on the deep seas of REAL reality.

All of Lovecrafts works have officially become public domain this year. I know some people making a game based on them. I need some artwork for said game. You'd be a very interesting person to collaborate with, I'd think. There's no pay for it at the moment.. no one is getting anything out of it but satisfaction ( and a working credit in an international online game - not bad to begin with ). Drop me a note if you're interested... at least in finding out more.

Keep well...
