Thank You for Your Feedback on Eclipse!
Last week, we announced the Beta launch of DeviantArt Eclipse — a completely redesigned version of DeviantArt that puts more emphasis on artists and their art. As a Beta release, Eclipse is still under development and only available to a small portion of the DeviantArt community. We use the Beta release to gather feedback that allows us to closely analyze deviant engagement and sentiment. Over 4,000 deviants have already tried Eclipse and many have shared their invaluable and much-appreciated feedback. We’ve received nearly 1,700 individual Eclipse feedback reports — including 407 bug reports, 532 feature requests, and 748 pieces of general commentary. Our team has read through and triaged over 60% of these reports and has a goal of completing all of them in the coming week. Thank you to every deviant who has taken the time to share feedback. Whether you’re someone who provided a few words or several paragraphs of candid response, we appreciate the passion you have for

For many people, being LGBTQ+ can be difficult. Being open about who you are is a challenging point in many LGBTQ+ people’s lives, and many worry about what people will think, and who will or won’t accept them. Seeing LGBTQ+ supporters can be a meaningful reminder that it’s okay to be yourself.

At the beginning of the month, we asked deviants to create art with one of the six colors of the Pride flag. We’re overwhelmed and heart-warmed to see the outpouring of support of deviants and all of the stories that have been shared. Over 10,000 deviants submitted Pride art.

Today, we’re releasing a Pride flag made with love by the DeviantArt community — and you can now add it to your profile to show your support, or to just celebrate Pride!

We’d like to recognize and pay tribute to Gilbert Baker, who is the creator of the rainbow flag, an LGBTQ+ activist, and a fellow artist. Baker passed away on March 31st, but his memory lives on in every life he’s inspired.

Is there anyway to disable this? I'm tired of LGBT getting constant special privileges and it being shoved in my face 24/7. I want equality for them, they finally have it, but still they shove this stuff in my face constantly. LGBT only make up 5% of the population, but society treats them like they're the majority. I got love for LGBT, but my god the virtual signaling is getting old, annoying & intrusive.

Do you guys really need a WHOLE month of shoving this in my face?  Do you really need everyone to see your crotch in the street? lol jesus man come on.

Before you hate on me, I would gladly MAKE LGBT content, but I'm not going to shove it in everyone's face constantly or treat them with special privileges as if they need to be coddled constantly. I almost want to vote Trump in 2020.

"I got love for LGBT"

Jesus Christ. With allies like this, who needs enemies?

If I was LGBT, I would not put this pride stuff in peoples face everyday.  I'd just be thankful I'm finally equal and move on with life.  I'd accept I only make up 5% of the population and that my way is NOT normal. Society is based on procreation, I'd respect that fact.

damn, that's cold. enjoy your bigoted cishet lifestyle.
yes, we need a whole month, like bitch, all of it!!! we've made leaps and bounds from being tortured and murdered and hung in public because of pride month. people like you aren't welcome in the lgbt community - stay away from us!! we don't want you.

even with all the improvements we've made to try and end discrimination and homophobia, transphobia, biphoba, etc, kids are getting disowned and kicked out! transgender people are getting denied rights! gay, bi, and lesbian people are getting unfair wages! and all this because we're lgbt+.
you think we're crotch-showing gays, or bra-burning dykes (and some of us are and that's great!) but the truth is we're just like you and we just want equal rights.

and of course we need an entire month. with trump banning transgender people in the military and making employment biased on your sexuality, of course we do! if you can't understand that then i don't know what to do with you. he's pretending to be all pro-lgbt for the upcoming 2020 election, and it's all false - this is what he did in 2016 too, and look what he did! he fucking BANNED TRANS PEOPLE IN THE MILITARY and DOESN'T RECOGNIZE THEM AS CITIZENS.

we do NOT have equality and you're part of the reason why. if you dislike things like this so much, stay inside during june and stay off sites such as tumblr or deviantart. we are NOT trying to shove it in your face. we are NOT being coddled and treated with special privileges.

How does having a month of pride and a pride parade actually help you achieve equality? So you're telling me that annoying everyone with lewd behavior and vulgarity is going to help you achieve equality? When some family walks by a pride parade and tries to rush out of there because they don't want their kids to see vulgarity, that's going to help achieve equality?

>with trump banning transgender people in the military

I actually supported that.  Transgender suffer from a confirmed mental illness. Also, it makes no sense for military budget to be used for transgender transformation surgery.

>we do NOT have equality and you're part of the reason why. if you dislike things like this so much, stay inside during june and stay off sites such as tumblr or deviantart.

Right wingers keep telling me that there is a growing authoritarian mentality on the left.  I try to debunk them, but I'm starting to see they're right.

there are very few of us in the lgbt+ community that are constantly lewd and vulgar; it's just that you hear about them the most often because media and people like you can't see the full picture. it is not the entire lgbt+ community's fault that some family decides to be homophobic and not "taint" their children with our "disgusting gayness."

and if you think we have already achieved equality, do you really think we're gonna stop pride parades? what's america gonna do, stop celebrating july 4th because we've already achieved freedom from england? it's the same as you thinking lgbt+ people need to stop celebrating pride because we've already achieved equality. is america gonna stop celebrating independence day? is australia gonna stop celebrating australia day? is mexico gonna stop celebrating dia de la independencia? is indonesia gonna stop celebrating hari kemerdakaan? NO!!!

BEING TRANSGENDER IS NOT A MENTAL ILLNESS. I REPEAT, IT IS NOT.
dysphoria from being perceived as the wrong gender is a mental illness. being transgender in itself is NOT. a lot of transgender people have already had top/bottom surgery and take hormone replacement therapy with their own money. and we're not asking for the military to pay for our surgeries, some of us just want to serve! us being transgender hinder our ability to.

stop seeing us through the media's disgusting view.

What special privileges? Like not being beaten on the streets or just having the right to live a normal life? This month is for those who had to endure the harshness of people who treated them horribly, bet you complain about black history month as well. You claim you got love for "our kind" but that sounds like BS, if you really did you would not be flaunting your special ignorance on something that makes you "uncomfortable" and would be showing support to other LGBT people. No one is shoving this in your face stop being dramatic, and really you would have to be looking down all the time to see a crotch so just look up and maybe you'll have some empathy.

So when is your projected date of achieving equality? If you feel you don't have equality, when will you have it? Never? So you perpetually inundate everyone with pride advertisements for the rest of eternity?

I want you guys to have equality, but when? lol When will you say, 'we're finally equal!! guys! we did it! we don't need pride parades anymore, we're finally equal!'

I think your missing a few different things. First people know big companies are just trying to use pride month as a money grab. I see more religious people purposely shoving crap in peoples faces and as long as they are not saying stuff that hurts others then I just ignore them like everyone else, so when will that stop? Achieving equality takes time and education, having a pessimistic view will not help you understand. People gradually begin to understand whats it like when you are worried about being fired from your job because you love the wrong group, or have to be discriminated when just shopping or eating. Your saying your okay with double standards because you haven't experienced it.

Please...you know damn well there is still discrimination between who you marry or who your friends are regardless if they are gay or not. White marry black, black marry white, Asian marry black, Asian marry white, etc. Pride parades is to celebrate just having the freedom to love who you want to love and those who put themselves on the front-lines to push past an archaic way of thinking. Asking when we will no longer have parades or some other crap is like asking me when are we going to stop celebrating memorial day or even independence day because you know it's over and done right? Frankly last time I checked I'm an American and live in the U.S. and have a right to express myself as much as the guy next to me gets to wear douchbag clothing and spray on a gallon of axe.
