A Number of Challenges Pt.4

Chapter Four: A Series of Disappointments As the three presenters and their tame racing driver approached the brightly colored town, worries were beginning to manifest. How did they get here? Where was here? Could they get back? What about their friends and families? Was it even known that they were missing? As usual, Clarkson was the first to speak up. "Mates," he said in a serious tone. The others, even the Stig, knew that this tone was a tone Clarkson scarcely used, and that it meant he wanted their input. This tone had only been used a few times in the past. One such time was when Clarkson risked falling to his death on a shoddily-engin

Chapter 4: Soarwood The three of us sat in a cave, 'cause apparently me and Archie hadn't learned our lesson. But there wasn't nothing in this cave except the three of us, and that was good. We didn't need to run into another Beholder or something worse. It was raining, and we were soaken wet, sittin' inside the cave. Me and Archie had traded places, and by places I mean opinions. "This is stupid," I said. "This whole idea was stupid. Please hit me. I'm a moron." Scraggly just sat there with his best pitiful expression on, and Archie had his best 'I'm gonna disagree with what you say' face on. "Come on, Smoky. It isn't so bad. I've had a

Chapter Three: First Ride Bums are a fact of life. Unless you're in the smallest, sweetest town around, somepony is gonna be homeless. Which is why I was real surprised to find out that even Ponyville had a resident hobo. Of course, later I'd find out that Scraggly was anything but a bum, and that Scraggly wasn't his real name. Which is good on his parents. One day, me and Archie was just walking down the street, hanging out. Pinkie Pie had just held a party for all the new ponies that had moved in, and that included me and Archie. On top of that, I had finally got the last of my furniture moved in. I was still out of a job, but I wasn't hu

Chapter 2: Moving into Ponyville To say the town hall of Ponyville was rustic would be a big understatement. There was a desk, and some chairs, and a secretary. And the mayor's office was literally, like right behind her. And the door was open, and she waved at me. So I waved back, not really knowing what to do. I plopped a goodly sum of bits on the table, and I just say, "I wanna buy a house." The secretary sent me in to see the mayor, even though technically I already could. "So," she said, "what's your name?" I was kinda surprised that she asked, because I half-expected to just fill in some forms and walk out. So I told her, and then I w

My given name's Smoky Blues, but I go by Smoky because everypony always thinks I'm Blues. You know, the other blues-slash-jazz pony. I don't see what the big deal is, anyway.  Everypony always seems so disappointed when they find out, y'know? It's like they think there can't be more than one bluespony around or somethin'. Now, listen, before you run off to go read some Rose Pappilone book, sit down and at least lemme tell ya one story. If ya don't like it, ya don't ever have to pick this up again. Chapter 3: Ridicule and Merriment in Ponyville Clarkson was the first to awake. Everything felt wrong, somehow. He felt shorter, much shorter. "Have I lost my legs, or something?" He looked down, and nearly jumped out of his skin. His feet had been replaced..with hooves. "Oh," Clarkson said as he uttered his trademark expletive, "am I in a coma and hallucinating?" Everything here was...bright and lively, all done up in pastel colors. Clarkson's revelations were cut short by the trademark guffawing of James May.  At least Captain Slow was still alive, he thought. Clarkson turned around to face the derisive laughter, but what he saw only drov

Chapter 2: Blazing Trails Three middle-aged English men stood around a sleek-looking, 4-door sports car, oarked on a combination runway and test track. A person in a white jumpsuit and racing helmet sat motionlessly in the driver's seat. The shortest of the three men, sporting a hairstyle that was at odds with his apparent age, walked the circumference of the car. "Hideous," he said. The most oddly dressed of the three men scratched his head. He had medium-length hair the color of pepper, and a long face that seemed to make everything he did seem deliberate...slow. Notice! I am in the process of moving Spurred Into Action over to Google Docs. With respect to DA, I feel Google Docs is a much more robust word processing suite, more akin to what I am used to. You will likely find the new links on EQD within the next few days.

Putting the Fanfic On Hold

Putting the Fanfic On Hold

It feels so much better to pull something from my own mind than to add to something that is pretty much good anyway. I'm going to wrap up my fanfic and exclusively write stories about Garth, until his tale is finished. Then, I'll movce on to something else.

WORDY WORDY WORDS!!!!

WORDY WORDY WORDS!!!!

I know there are some of you out there who don't like these "book" things, and instead of "reading" you'd much rather watch the Toilet Bowl XXXX-whatever on the tv, or play Super Naruto Tenkaichi Go Go Gundam on your PS3 (because REAL gamers pay immediately pay 600 dollars for something that won't have any good games for at least 5 months). I have one thing to say to you people: WOOOOOORDY WOOOOOOORDY WOOOOOOORDS ARE SO COOOOOL! LIKE ANTIDISESTABLISHMENTARIANISM! THE LONGEST WORD IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE!

Yep, that's me. The inspiration comes slowly for me, and I like to read and reread what I have, but I am writing it, yes.
