Astral Form Appearance

When Joe summons the Astral Self, it doesn’t just explode into the world—it unfolds, slow and deliberate, like a great curtain of shadow being drawn back. From behind him, two massive arms of darkness unfurl wide like wings, stretching impossibly far before curling downward to settle directly over his own.

They don’t float. They don’t hover. They cling—wrapping his arms and hands in a flickering veil of shadow, like black flame licking at the edges of reality. With every twitch of his fingers, the darkness shifts—delayed, thoughtful, hungry.

Then comes the visage.

His face doesn’t shift—it vanishes. Replaced by a perfect void: featureless, depthless, and wrong. From that empty space, two glowing red eyes burn out from the dark, and beneath them, a wide, sharp grin curls—too wide, too clean.

Silent. Watching. Smiling.

He doesn’t speak when it appears.
But something else might be listening.
