- Rules -

Every submission has to go to the gallery-folder "Monthly Contest".

In the description of the submission, there has to be a text like "For the Monthly Contest from #Gmod-Ponies, theme X" (or at least the theme) to make it easier for the judges.

Three themes, three winners. One winner for each theme.

Private models are allowed. In that case, download link must be provided via private message to requester.

Comics are allowed.

One can submit as many deviations as they want, but only one can win.

Only one theme per deviation.

You can submit up to three pictures per theme. Should you wish to submit another, contact the administration for further assistance.

Older deviations do not count. You have to make a new deviation for the contest.

Mature content is allowed, as long as it is not extremely violent/gory/sexual/etc.

WIP/Beta models are not allowed.

Animations are not allowed.

18th of November 2016

Monthly Contests are supposed to encourage creating deviations in specific, random themes, in exchange for muffins. Every muffin you won will be listed here.

Before submitting any pictures, please read our Submission rules below, and make sure to also read about our Quality Standards program here.

On July 14 2011, meshes of the characters from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic were rigged to Garry's Mod game and released to everyone, allowing them to create all kinds of pictures featuring those characters in this game. This group is dedicated to collect such pictures for everyone to see.

Original ponies' meshes were created by KP-ShadowSquirrel and were rigged to Gmod by oogaboogaman.

Group's Rules:

First, remain respectful to all members; no bashing, insulting etc., always remain nice.

Second, we accept only art featuring 3D models in Garry's Mod, and only models based on the My Little Pony franchise. Also, while ponies don't have to be the main focus of the image, it's unacceptable if MLP characters are barely noticeable on an image that is focused on something not pony-related.

Third, always follow the instructions of any admin, and remain respectful to the staff. Multiple temporal bans, as well as ban evasion, will result in a permanent and unappealable ban.

Fourth, always submit your deviations to the right folders, as detailed below:

If you wish to submit anything to the Other - Mature folder, please follow these rules!
Any pictures with extreme depictions of gore, fetishes, sex and violence belong to this folder, and must have a mature -tag.
On the other hand, any pictures with low amounts of blood, violence, or suggestive themes don't belong to this folder, and don't require a mature -tag.
Fetish pictures and other suggestive and sexual stuff involving children will be rejected, without exceptions.
Pictures with questionable content (Nazis, etc) do not belong to this folder, and don't require a mature -tag.
Pictures with swearing, insults and profanity in general are accepted, and do not belong to this folder, nor they need a mature -tag.
Racist pictures will be rejected, without exceptions.

Hate and attack pictures towards any characters, OCs or members will not be accepted.

Pictures or animations made in SFM are NOT allowed in this group.

Only characters from the show universe count when deciding where the picture would go. If the picture contains for example several TF2 characters and only one pony, TF2 characters are ignored and the folder is decided based on the pony. Ponybots and changelings don't count, unless they are personal OC's. The deviation goes into one of the Group folders as detailed below:

For simplicity's sake, all non-pony characters from the show are also considered canon ponies, so submit them to the folders related to canon ponies. Canon ponies with different outfits (for example ponies as TF2 classes) are still considered as canon ponies.

If it's a pony with a dedicated folder, it goes into such folder.

If your deviation features one pony or multiple clones of the same one, it goes into the corresponding folder.

If it's a character (Pony or non-pony) from the show but without a dedicated folder, it goes into the "Single Pony - Other Canon Characters" folder.

If it's a character not present in the show, it goes into the "Single Character - Custom Characters" folder.

If your deviation features multiple ponies (but not just multiple clones of the same one), it goes into one of the Group folders, as detailed below:

If it features only canon characters (present in the show), it goes into the "Group - Only Canon Characters" folder.

If it features only custom ponies (not present in the show), it goes into the "Group - Only Custom Characters" folder.

If it features both canon and custom characters, it goes into "Group - Canon and Custom Characters"

If it features any of the G1 Ponies (see here, includes Surprise, Firefly, Posey, Sparkler and Twilight) or generally any ponies from MLP generations older than Friendship is Magic, then it goes into the "Other - Older Generations" folder.

If it's some specific group (Lyra and Bon Bon, CMC, Wonderbolts) or a character from those groups without other characters, it goes into the respective group's folder (Other - Lyra and Bon-Bon, Other - CMC, Other - Wonderbolts). Babs Seed is also considered as one of the CMC.

Pictures with speech bubbles and/or multiple panels go into Other - Comics. This includes possible cover pictures.

If your deviation is animated, or if it's a link to a video, it goes into the "Other - Animations and Videos" folder.

If it features any anthro-ponies, no matter if they are the main focus or if they are in the background, it goes into "Other - Eppaljeck and Company".

Submit your picture to Miscellaneous if:

It features HWM-style silly faces.

It features anthro-models.

It features any no-MLP models reskinned with MLP motives.

It doesn't features any MLP characters but it shows MLP items.

Is a "filler" or "milestone" picture.

Is just too random to fit anywhere else.

You can always ask the admins if you're uncertain where to upload the deviation or does it fit the group at all.

I was hoping I can get a bit of help turning my pony into a player model.

I had help figuring out how to make my pony onto SFM (here)

If I compile the SFM .qc with crowbar it works fine.

But when I try to compile the GMod .qc it says it could not load file '../bodyparts/feral/tongues/tongue_regular.dmx' despite the .qc being addressed properly.

I made sure it's the right .qc for GMod and I made sure Crowbar is compiling for a GMod model so I dunno what I'm doing wrong.

I'm aware this club-page is mostly dead but I'm hoping someone will point out what I'm doing wrong here.

I was admin here before until the rest of administration voted me out. At this point I don't care enough to administrate an entire group, let alone one that chose to remove me before. I just want someone to at least bother accepting submissions...

Hey, guys? How much would a commission for a pony OC cost? I got a friend here on DA that made a request for me to do in Garry's Mod, but I'm short one vital thing, and that's a model of their pony OC to complete the request.

Without it, I'm stuck and can't get their request done, and they are getting a little disappointed that I haven't uploaded a screenshot of it yet to my Gallery.

While using these models in Windows 10, they have appeared to have a pink tone. Their tongues and (sometimes) their teeth look weird with their chequerboard colours:

Are there any textures that I must download to make these characters look normal when I play GMOD? Those odd colours might be a technical problem that should be easily-resolved.
