The Happy Tengu

The Happy Tengu was made fun of simply
because he was different from the others.
He did not like scaring stray travellers in
the forest, and was constantly teased and
picked on by the other Tengu.
The Happy Tengu did not care, as he would
wave his feathered fan to call the spirits to
play with him instead.
They did not mind that he was different and
treated him just the same.

My first true vector piece, it was good fun trying out Illustrator. Character loosely based on a Tengu (a cuter version XD), forest yokai (monster-spirits) who get up to all kinds of mischief.
