Group Info

Glitch art is the aestheticization of digital or analog errors, such as artifacts and other bugs, by either corrupting digital code/data (e.g. databending) or by physically manipulating electronic devices (e.g. by circuit bending).

We love the error.

I really didn't expect this, just checked dA and saw that I've got more than a hundred submissions for this group.

Unfortunately many of them are expired already, I'll try to work myself through them, but either way, if you read this and are in the mood just resubmit your entries. It would speed things up.

Was really busy over the last few months, but now I'm done with my final exams which means I've got a lot more spare time. I'm really sorry.

:bug: Keep glitchin' !

Some Rules

I don't like too strict rules, but I guess I have to say something about them here..

ANYONE who's interested in glitching or wants to learn about glitching is allowed to join. Right now everyone's being accepted cause I don't think there will be too many people interested in this group right now.

If you're wondering about how many deviations you can submit per day/week/month: There's NO limit right now.

We will add one later on though - in case we're actually getting a regular influx of submissions! :)

It would seem so, I was about to ask around myself.

Hey, I submitted a piece to this group more than a week ago and I haven't gotten an acceptance or denial yet. Are you guys still taking in pieces? Should I re-submit???

Seems like this thread is dead but I do have a question just incase its not. Would anyone like to head a glitch music video project with me?

@ Mellonote: Thank you for posting this link! I'm already quite familiar with this technique but nevertheless it gives a very interesting and useful overview

Can anybody tell me how to achieve a result like these: [link] ?

I assume it's analogue, but besides that I have no idea. Thanks!

This is probably a bad place to put it, but for those bending/glitching with Audacity, here's a good map of what exactly each effect dose to an image: [link]
