Since I've been drawing the Superbabe waitresses from the Warner Bros animated movie Batman and Harley Quinn, I might as well draw Poison Ivy as well. I noticed something while drawing her. Her character model is a mixture of three versions along the DC Animated Universe's timeline. Her hair is parted on the Batman: The Animated Series side again, along with her body proportions being "plumped up" away her stick figure in Batman Adventures days. At the same time, she's wearing the Batman Adventures/Justice League outfit, and keeps an unnatural color palette. However, the green skin comes for the Batman Adventures comics series. I actually find the combination of these elements really appealing, and think this is the best Ivy's looked throughout the run of the DCAU.
While I don't think my picture is 100% accurate on her new proportions, I think I'm mostly there. I took inspiration through several Bruce Timm sketches of women to create this over-the-shoulder pose, but using screenshots to get as close to screen-accurate as I could.
Poison Ivy was created by Robert Kanigher and Sheldon Moldoff for DC Comics.
