The plan as the deity Ignis explained it before they started off is simple. This utterly massive herd of boucles is going to march towards Fulmen's lands. They'll be accompanied by aid from Ignis and Caeli but not the actual deities. Spirit warriors from Ignis and air sprites from Caeli. The deities themselves are going to speak with Fulmen while the massive herd provides… incentive. There's emphasis on the words speak and incentive that has Alkaios a little worried for Fulmen. But all of those involved in that end of things will be deities so perhaps it'll all work out now. Hopefully. Alkaios will have to count on the other members of his small group to inform him of what's going on that he cannot see. Denzel holds his head up high. It takes… what feels like probably too long for Verica to figure out what's going on. In her defense - a summons from one of the deities of boucle-kind is… rare doesn't even begin to cover it. She's never heard of this kind of thing happening before and she's the closest thing she knows to a scholar. Granted- she doesn't know very many boucles in the first place. Oh she knows Falthis, who is here and has been trotting along with her ever since they figured out what this was, and a bataile that looks an awful lot like the one up ahead of them. Wait! No - it is Denzel! "Denzel! You've been called too?" Verica calls out, the pony sized unicorn trotting up to him with wide eyes. Denzel's ears flatten. "Ah… not exactly." he admits. "I caught wind of a rumor that something dangerous was happening and all unicorns with fire in their bellies were being summoned. It takes very little to convince the merchant that the optics of the situation look real bad. Optics is the word Verica uses and stresses while tilting her head to one side and widening her eyes like she's an everyday ordinary concerned citizen who just so happens to be looking out for this poor merchant. Pay no mind to the fact that the merchant propositioned the group to do what he'd wanted the draugr for and they'd refused him. Even now Amaranth is watching the merchant with keen silver eyes and Ezra has his ears perked to listen out for any approach. But the word and Verica's acting works. Denzel has to admit that he's impressed. It panics the dwarf, who immediately starts asking- "How do I fix the optics? Bad optics means no one will give my works the time of day! She's so focused on running that she doesn't see the rock. This is the plains, after all - so maybe that explains why Falthis really hadn't been paying attention to where her hooves hit the ground. It doesn't save her from the way she trips and goes skidding across the ground though, gasping in pain and ears flicking back as she bites down the urge to scream. Denzel isn't entirely sure how it works, but between Amaranth and Ezra - they have an idea of where to go after dropping off Noach. The place is apparently called Nidavellir, and it's known as the home of the dwarves. Amaranth is straight faced when it says that, though even Denzel is beginning to learn that only looking at the red and black rukaan's face is a good way to mistake the smaller tells that give away how it feels about something. It is sort of like Draza in that particular manner, and Denzel has managed to get along with Draza quite well if the big unicorn is allowed to assume such things. And Amaranth's tail is a constantly moving thing. The serpent head at the end of it is watching all of their backs, silver gaze sharp and keen… but the constant movement is the trick. It isn't looking forward to this trek. Verica isn't either. Nidavellir isn't particularly close, but Ezra is thankfully a bit more forthcoming with the why than Amaranth is. "The soil we found

Turns out there's a problem, the quartet discovers as they get closer and closer to where Denzel says the grave of his foal is. Not a little problem by any means either. Everything starts going wrong when Ezra asks (around his own mouthful of flowers) if anyone else can smell grave dirt. He falters when Denzel gives him a look that clearly asks what he means by that, ears flicking and gaze seeking out Amaranth like he's hoping the red and black rukaan can explain for him. Verica agrees that she can smell it. The pony sized unicorn takes off running, confident in the fact that the three of them with their much longer legs will be able to catch up easily. She didn't quite account for the fact that Denzel would overtake her on account of his size, though Amaranth putting on the speed that the red and black rukaan is known for is less of a surprise. As it turns out, their plans have to change again. Falthis receives a small bird with a message and curses - taking off with a run and a promise that she'll be back and find them when she's done. Considering the fact that she's always full of commentary when she's fine with sharing what's going on and says nothing on her way out, the three of them just shout well wishes and hopes that whatever is going on resolves easily. That's about as good as they can get. Ezra follows that up with an idea. They should take this chance to drop through Brekkathorpe! The season has only just now turned, so there probably won't be so many flowers blooming that Amaranth will be overwhelmed, and it can be a nice break from everything else. Falthis has to admit that she very much agrees with this particular course of action. It'd be a good way to catch their collective breath and also enjoy the flowers. For a while now, Sadie has had to travel without Vincent or Ozymandias. They're both grown rukaan and she knows this, but she's also only recently come to terms with the fact that she has motherly inclinations towards them both. This, in the end, means that she's dealing with… what is it the bipeds call it? Empty Nest Syndrome? There's a part of her, not at all insignificant, that dearly wants to go out and find new companions to travel with her like that.
