I use to be in love for this photo.. and came here to show it for a friend, but when I read your comment, that you are more worried about copyright than the moment of art you did it ruined the photo for me.
Copyright is okay... but when a photographer shows more interest to keep copywrite than show entusiasm for a great shot it represents that photography are not being used as art, but as a work.
Every animal must work to put food on the table, humans are different because they are sublime, they make art, music and sport.. those things should never be called WORK or JOB.
I don't say my job, i say my photos.
But i respect your way to see it, as your job... but then it's no longer a magical photo for me, just a stock photo.
I'm sorry.

This wasn't a favorite of mine until I read your comment.  Now I realize how full of truly hateful people this world is, and having fun with it, which this picture is doing, is one of the only things that keep me sane.  Thanks for posting to remind me, and thanks to the artist for sharing.

I think that's a bit of a silly remark. "More worried about copyright"? How on Earth do you figure that, just because I said I should have watermarked it? Most photographers watermark their images. I grew tired of being contacted constantly that companies were using a photo I took - for free - and making money off of it. I worked hard on this photo. Fans were looking out for me by telling me it kept being stolen, which I appreciated. This is my full-time job... of course I'm going to have to care if my art is stolen everywhere and used to make money that I'm seeing none of.
I am a bit shocked by your comment, that somehow my photo is ruined or it isn't art simply because I don't want it stolen and used for profit? This is my company, my only job. I have a child. Why should I be faulted for making art and not wanting money taken out of my pocket on the art I made? If a company steals this, they are robbing me of a licensing fee. Therefore they are taking food off my table. You can be an artist and love art AND make money off your job.
I find your comment very rude, to call my work a stock photo simply because it went viral and I'd wished I had watermarked it. Watermarks ensure that people can find the rest of your work. This photo is stolen all over the place, and had I watermarked it, they could have found the rest of my gallery and body of work (and the image credits as well). There is absolutely nothing wrong with wishing I had done that...
If you love a photo, love a photo. But acting like an artist is greedy for wanting credit for their work I cannot understand at all.

sorry, i stoped read when you said you're SHOCKED.. it's not possible talk to generation Y people because they get shocked and offended about anything.. they become bitchy angry because anything that are not compliment.
You must had received 1.000.000 compliments because this gorgeous photo, so... if you receive one critic you behave like that?
Sorry.. pretend I never spoke to you before! Delete my comment.. do anything.. I don't keep this kind of destructive talk.
I just shared my point of view about how you are so worried about copyright.
Put this photo wherever hole you want!
I don't exist!
WeeabooWonder Featured By Owner Dec 26, 2016
Dude, it's their job, photography. It is their right to be worried about it being stolen and used without their permission. In fact, it was one of the most passive mentionings of copyright ever.
girltripped Featured By Owner Dec 26, 2016
Okay. I was simply stating that an artist wanting credit for their work is not a bad thing, and yes, I am completely puzzled that anybody would think so. I deserve to put food on my table just like any other profession.
dvcomk Featured By Owner Dec 27, 2016  Hobbyist Photographer
first of all let's try to make it friendly and decent because I am doing a compliment.. There is no discussion here about the beauty of the photo, it's a great image.
The point I want to mention is that put food on the table is something any animal have to do and there is nothing special in that.
SOOOOOOOO.. even greatest artists, when do a master peace, they have the choice of make it one more product or transcend and make it an universal art.
Money come as consequence when you do things with your heart... But it's okay make stock photo (I am a stock photo producer, I have a portfolio on that had gave me 5.000 dollars on last years that allow me to travel with my wife some times, so I am not saying that make stock photo is a bad thing)
I am saying that this photo is so beautiful that it could be much more than that and it's a pitty you treat it this way.
For a while, imagine if the La Gioconda had a watermark over it with the name DA VINCI, ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. (do you get my poing?)
If I am not wrong, La Gioconda don't even have a sign........ and Da Vinci had to put food on the table as well.
If you are not american, you could had heard about Alberto Santos Dumont.. many people consider him the inventor of the air plane.. not just because he was the first who made the first machine that flies without any kind of assistance, but because while Brothers Right was selling pattent of airplane during war, he had suicide because planes was using to drop bombs. So... who's heart was really feeling responsible for the invention of the air plane?
To end my point of view... Copyright is okay, but some masterpeace are so beyond that, that copyright would push it down from where it deserve to be, and this is what I think about this photo. If you think (that about this photo only) it is so great as people think, so you should not wory if people use it or not, but be proud of yourself.
WeeabooWonder Featured By Owner Dec 27, 2016
Compared to other stark and rather heavy crackdowns on copyright compared to others, this is extremely tame. It's a comment in a description, and it's sort of silly to think that it would ruin your image of it in your head in my opinion. But it's the internet. Noone's opinion matters :v
