You ask for some feedback. I've also looked at the image "Twins" and note that you say "infrared effects" . There is no Exif data to tell me what camera was used nor the settings nor any indication of an IR filter, so I am working a bit in the dark. Both images look like infrared shots, but am I correct in thinking they are simulations? If so, they are very good - especially this one with a pale pink cast in the foliage and the dark blue sky. In terms of photographic composition, I suppose this image is not that unique or startling, but the IR effect certainly makes a dull foliage view stand out - one of the features of IR images. There is a pleasing variation in texture from the big leaves at the bottom to the smaller almost frothy leaves at the top - texture is one of those things lots of photographers forget about.

If you wanted to try something new/different, how about local contrast enhancement (LCE). If you've not come across this before, it is worth mastering - and it is simple to do!! In your photo editor create a second duplicate layer. On this layer apply an unsharp mask - keep the radius small, but the amount very large - at least 20 - 100 times the radius value. The effect can be dramatic. Now, you can back off that effect by changing the opacity of the second layer and blend with the original layer to get the effect you wish. It is easier to do than it sounds!!

Cheers

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I'll try your advise next time.
They are not simulations by the way, I'm just an amateur;)
