This is the fourth story set in the evil League of Supergirls universe. It was a placeholder while I was working on The Supergirl Sanction.

The conversation between Chao-Xing and Isabella was something I came up with while writing The Supergirl Legacy, but couldn't find a place to fit it in. Somebody suggested that it would be interesting for Isabella to find out about all the bad shit the League did to protect her growing up, so I incorporated that as well.

Somebody asked how Fiona's consort, Owen, was bearing up. I decided that almost two years being up close and personal with an evil Supergirl had taken their toll on his soul. I also wanted to drop in the change in League policy to give more leeway on "mass casualty events." It's a darker turn in the narrative, but that's where I'm at.

Rachel visiting the diner is based on a scene that was cut from a private commission. Deb's is an amalgam of two of my favorite breakfast places - one in San Francisco that is now sadly closed and one in Salem, Massachusetts that is operating under a different name and ownership.

The illustrations were made with PonyXL and Gimp. It's an accident that all three ended up using different styles, but I like that it turned out that way.
