Version 2 of "The Artist who became Art" added a second page and changed the final panel on the first page.

Immortals with magical powers can get bored, they explore new aspects of existence to widen their horizons. Some decide to spend extended periods as animals or objects. In her case the artist who'd created sculptural art wanted to discover what it was like to become a work of art.

Being a statue was far more pleasant than she'd expected, so she decides to remain a statue indefinitely.

I like the cameo of the the statues from previous stories at the end.

This is a great comic! I love the idea of sentient statues who enjoy that existence. The telepathy is a nice touch.

More like this, please!

I have a few more ideas for statue transformations. Stay tuned.

Have you done the story of Bikini Girl's transformation into a statue? If not, that could be made into another comic story.

I may. I have dozens of ideas and suggestions to juggle.

It's not that I'm too busy, sometimes I'm just too tired or have artist block.

great! I've known your pictures for many years! :-)
I actually like it better if it's a mechanical process. Not magic or anything like that. If someone covers the girl with epoxy resin and it gets hard. Or liquid gold (I know that's painful). Not the human being is transformed, but the human being receives an envelope! ;-)

I'm not into encasement, a living person trapped inside a hard outer shell, threatened by starvation, suffocation and other horrible things, naw...

I think it stems from a childhood trauma. I was a toddler and crawled in a trunk during hide and seek, shut the lid and one of the latches snapped shut. I screamed, hollered and struggled trying to open it. Luckily after a dozen seconds or so the lid twisted on one side and the latch fell loose and I was free. Shook me to my soul.

If I had been turned into an immortal inanimate object that didn't need air, food or water and was locked in a trunk I wouldn't be upset.

I had a similar experience as a toddler. I had a plastic bag over my head and closed the strings and couldn't open them. I roared and almost suffocated! a neighbor saved me at the last moment. But there is no psychological damage left. Since I usually strictly separate reality and fantasy and everything is possible in fantasy, I have no problem to have ideas that do not work in reality!
In pictures I sometimes see torture, cannibalism, girls being raped by dogs and so on. I don't think that the users who are enthusiastic about it want something like this in reality. It's just crazy things in the head! I have had the fantasy for many years that a young girl is trapped in a mannequin, or in a sculpture and so on. I do not know why I am fascinated by this? :-)
Turning a person into a sculpture is too unreal to inspire me. I like your art and that of other artists anyway, because I imagine people are not transformed, but stuck inside.
I hide the transition / transformation in my thoughts! :-)

Who is a stone statue here? Can't recognize :)

It's the super hero Bikini Girl who retired by being turned, voluntarily, into a statue.
