Hetalia Boston Massacre Political Cartoon by Gilblitz112 Hetalia Boston Massacre Political Cartoon by Gilblitz112
Original date: September 30, 2014

Another school-related drawing I did, this time for my U.S. History class in 8th grade, portraying the Boston Massacre. I originally was going to have America say something like "Boom, headshot!" but my teacher thought that it wouldn't show a certain meaning/message. So, I changed it to give a reminder about the Townshend Acts, which are explained on the bottom-left corner of the drawing:

"*The Townshend Acts, passed by Parliament in 1767, was an indirect tax on EVERYTHING. This led to the Boston Massacre in 1770."

This cartoon was based on reliable primary accounts of the event, where they said that the Americans attacked the British with clubs and snow, unlike in the Paul Revere engraving, and other examples.

I'm glad I got a perfect score on the assignment, because I thought I put most of my effort into this drawing.

I hoped you liked it, and as always, keep being awesome.
