Midwestern Autumn 25

The painting process for this piece was bittersweet in knowing that it is going to be one of the last paintings that I make before my return to France, and I also felt a kind of melancholy while painting it since it reminded me of the first paintings that I painted in oil well over ten years ago when I was in high school. Nonetheless, it's a piece that I am proud of and I would be glad to see it framed and hanging on a wall.

Le processus de création de cette œuvre a été doux-amer, car je savais qu'il s'agirait de l'une des dernières peintures que je réaliserais avant mon retour en France. J'ai également ressenti une certaine mélancolie en la peignant, car elle m'a rappelé les premières peintures à l'huile que j'avais réalisées il y a plus de dix ans, lorsque j'étais au lycée. Néanmoins, c'est une œuvre dont je suis fier et je serais heureux de la voir encadrée et accrochée à un mur.
