Hello my friends,
I thought I should try and use the wide spread of my journal to also share some tips about photography. Some of you may know this, but some might find these useful. Feel free to use the comments to add tips of your own. The ones that I find original, I will include in my journal (and add credit, ofcourse).
My weekly tip
Every photographer know the problem with using the flash, and mainly the built-in flash. You know how the things closer to the camera get over exposed, and the background is dark. You get the light burning the brighter areas, and glasses get you with the bright flash point.
What can we do?
1. You know hoe with external flash we use a soft box, or something of this sort? Well, you can add some scotch tape on top of the built in flash, to soften the light. Try even holding your hand over it at the time of shooting if yoy need stronger softening. You should know that the way you hold your hand can also create unbalnce light in the resault. I mean, if you leave too much space on the right, you will get a frame with more light to the right, and almost non to the left.. try it.
2. Hold your camera upside down...
Surprise

The light isn't direct that way, and you have less reflected areas of light.
After the shoot, simply rotate the frame back, and you have a better lighten shot.
3. Use the "fill flash" option (slow flash on some cameras).
If you are shooting under low light conditions, be sure to have your camera steady during the shoot, since the flash is not used to "freeze" movement, and only to fill more light into the scene. The camera will still take longer exposure time.

Head full of growth...
A simple idea, but brilliant nontheless.
The title suggests the vreative idea behing it.
I, for one, loved the use of the objects without hiding them.

You don't get to see the world like this too often.
It's a matter of haveing the luck to be there at a time like this, and the skill to know how to "freeze" that moment in time so well.

Overwelming.
I'm not one of those who enjoys nude photography too much, and especialy male nudity, but this one is not about the nudity, and it's about the power of man and the power of nature. Amazing technique and resault.
I usualy don't show here pieces with over 300 views, but this one deserves so much more than the 481 he recieved.
Bravo!
