This is an old tale of no one you know
His name might sound familiar
But it wouldn't bother you too much
Soon it will be carved in the stone.
He lived a life and dreamed a dream
And loved the life in the time he was living it
Then in the whisper of a breath he was forgotten
His kids got busy, wife died, friends disappeared.
Within his sorrow he must strive
Although he feels there is no reason to stay alive
He can't just sleep and let his life go
So he wakes up to the same lonely house every day.
I would mention his name
But it wouldn't make a difference
He will be here until life is here no more
No memory left that he had lived in nothingness.
There is nothing lonelier than being forgotten
There is nothing older than this old tale
There is nothing sadder than telling it over and over again
