Finally I can drop the Tigerburn moniker and switch this to Giga-Leo! I've still got my alternate account :icongigaleo:
"GigaLeo", but now the dilemma is figuring out what I want to do with it. My original thought was to just keep using Tigerburn for my fan stuff and GigaLeo for my original stuff, but now that I've got the name change thing going on, I guess I may as well just toss everything up here from now on.
Hey all, just tossing this up:

My Primary account: :icongigaleo: GigaLeo

If you're a kitbash enthusiast like myself, you may enjoy some of the many digibashed Gobots and Transformers on my blog!
My latest Digibash: Fitor from Universe Cyclonus. I'm also particularly proud of digibashing Classics Onslaught into the GoBot Boomers Rumble and Blast.

I'm also on Twitter, username: Gigaleo78

Update:
I've decided to open shop for commissions. You can see examples of the kind of work I do by visiting Gigaleo.com, but I'll also be providing examples further down.

How it works:
Send me a note with the title "Commission"
Tell me what you want! I'll need a detailed description of what you'd like. Fanart, fan characters, battles, situations, etc. The more details and reference the better, everything is important.

I will also color your line drawings and comic pages if you provide me a high resolution scan of your work.
Commission costs depend on how complex or simple your request is.

Payment:
I prefer payment via Paypal
Once we've settled on the details, I require 50% payment up front, with the rest to be paid once the piece is completed. I will only release the high res image after receiving full payment.

Rates & Examples of my work:
Single character, Digital color with no background or single color - $35.00
sample 1 sample 2 sample 3

Multiple characters, Digital color with no background or single color - Negotiable
sample 1 sample 2 sample 3

Single character, Digital color with full background - $45.00
sample 1 sample 2 sample 3

Multiple characters with full background - $60-up. Negotiable depending on complexity.
sample 1 sample 2 sample 3

Coloring the work of others - Negotiable depending on complexity of the piece
sample 1 sample 2 sample 3

*Minor conditions*
As much as I value input in the beginning stages of work, I'll need a bit of freedom once things get rolling. I promise not to make your Optimus Prime green instead of red (unless you ask for that), or any major detailing changes on your fan character without asking. However, I may change a building in the background from yellow to orange depending on what I think works best for the piece. I ask for your patience as well, since commissions is something I do on the side. I will never take your money and run.
Well, my subscription on this account has finally run out, wooot!
Now I can move on, so to speak. A heads up to everyone who's been kind enough to stop by this account, I'm going to be making :icongigaleo: GigaLeo my main DA account from this point onward. I like Tigerburn, but it's just the name of my favorite Laserbeast, not the name I really want.  Bad Chi, Feral Ignition, and anything else that is 100% creator owned will be over there. I'll be kicking things off this week by running all of Issue 1 to Brave the Fortress. Shooting for two pages a week, with Bad Chi every Wednesday(hope hope) to break things up.
I don't want to completely abandon this account though, so once all my creator-owned stuff is settled into the new place, I'll be using this as a kind of retro channel/art dump, posting my older fanfic/fancharacter stuff. Lord knows there's a lot of it! You don't realize how *much* of that stuff you've done until you start poking around old hard drives.
That is all!

Feraliginition.com

Journal Entry: Mon Aug 31, 2009, 6:15 PM
Hey everyone, just a quick update and some rambling.
First, Feraliginition.com</u> is officially up and running! I'll be updating this site every chance I get with new stuff. Head on over and check it out. Feedback (of the useful sort, of course) is most welcome!

Second- even though I'm not writing GoBot fanfiction at the moment, I still have a soft spot for those lovable shape-shifting robots with brains! I'm a realist though, and know that any hope of seeing them again would be through some creative use of the already released Transformers molds, so whenever I get the urge, I'll mock up a GoBot or two or three and toss them up on my blog: Transformers and GoBots</u>! The most recent additions have been Cop-Tor and Skyjack, with many more to come.

Third. R.I.P. my Xbox360!  I've seen the red ring of death grace my 360 for the first time this past Friday when I decided to reacquaint myself with the Transformers2 game in anticipation of the recently released downloadable content. Of course, if turns out to be the one game that successfully strangles my 360 and makes it overhead.  It's funny because games like Earth Defense Force and Prototype play fine, it just Transformers than makes my 360 choke to death with massive heatstroke. Not even an attachable cooling fan could help… but that might be because they're some of the worst designed things I've ever seen. The fan in located in the wrong spot and doesn't even begin to blow air on the area of the system that's overheating… Anyway, looks like this will be a good excuse for me to upgrade to a new 360 with a massive hard drive so I can try out the TF2 multiplayer and seriously mess up the unfortunate souls I happen to be teamed with ;P

Prototype

Journal Entry: Mon Jul 13, 2009, 12:09 PM
Pro. To. Type.

If you haven't burst through your local GamseStop's window, grabbed three copies of Prototype and slapped the clerk with two of them, you need to go do it right now. Then go home, blare some Rammstein, and play it, it's mighty fun.
I know it came out awhile ago, but I haven't been able to get my claws on it until recently. I honestly haven't even gotten that far in the game, but what I have played so far... Holy Moly. I have not had this much pure, unadulterated fun since Crackdown. In fact, this game takes it that step further I was hoping Crackdown would have gone. Wow, just, wow.

An update to my weekly programming

Journal Entry: Fri Jun 19, 2009, 1:06 PM
Since I'm not attending Wizard World Philly, I'm making good on my word to just present the first issue online and then offer it via Print on Demand. So starting next week I'll be continuing where the preview left off every Friday until the issue winds down.
And again, thanks to everyone who's repsonded to and taken a look at the pages I've provided so far. The colored cover is up today, page six next Friday!

Oh, and in other news, Raiden took a swipe at my sister too. I found out he split the tree in her backyard. F-YOU Raiden!! :shakefist:

Raiden took a swing at me!

Journal Entry: Wed Jun 10, 2009, 2:58 PM
If anyone lives in the N.Y/N.J area, you'll recall that we had one heck of a thunderstorm late Monday night into Tuesday morning. I certainly remember it, because around 3am I was awoken by a blinding flash, deafening CRACK-BOOM, and my room shaking. It turns out lightning actually struck my building! It blew out one of my lights, then went through the cable and blew out my modem. Of course, since the modem was attached to my computer, it blew my power source as well. So, long story short, no internet for me at home until I explain to Optimum that their equipment is dead because Raiden decided he hates city housing. Until then I can only get to the web while I'm at work. Thank God it didn't fry my hard drive (or my external), so I haven't lost anything of real importance, just an old computer I needed to replace anyway.
Needless to say, I'll be picking up Mortal Kombat vs DC so I can punch Raiden in the head with Shazam.

Updates and things

Journal Entry: Wed Jun 3, 2009, 5:15 PM
Greetings Viewers!
Just a few updates for anyone who has some minutes to spare.

First, a big thanks to everyone who was so supportive of Brave the Fortress and the Ads I posted! Unfortunately, it looks like Wizard World Philly isn't going to happen, but I see it as a blessing in disguise. I'm setting things up to put Issue One of Brave the Fortress online with the option to purchase-on-demand after it's run its course. If everything goes according to plan, the cover and Page 1 will go up either the day before Wizard World or the first day of the Con. Even though I won't be behind a table this year, I do want to attend, if for no other reason than to see Transformers inducted into the Toyfare Hall of Fame... however that's supposed to work... But yeah, I may still be there with some buddies.

Went to Botcon over the weekend, kind of a last minute decision and I'm glad I did it. Despite the flight delays from Hell getting out to California, the actual con itself was fun. Nothing sensational, but I was entertained... and got me some exclusives, woo!

In other news, I have a new blog! I customize Transformers into GoBots and other Transformers, all the while rambling on and on about how entertained I am at the idea of Hasbro or Takara/Tomy releasing characters people have probably never heard of. Click here to check it out!

Brave the Fortress at Wizard World

Journal Entry: Mon Apr 6, 2009, 3:44 PM
Hey Everyone!
The first issue of Brave the Fortress is ready and awaiting the printer, so this week I'll be giving a four day preview of what's to come. If all goes according to plan, this will be printed in the second Newbound Anthology and available for sale at Wizard World Philadelphia.
That means no Feral Ignition or Bad Chi this week, but they'll be back next week, promise! :)

Feral Ignition is online!

Journal Entry: Wed Mar 4, 2009, 8:34 PM
Finally, finally I've gotten Feral Ignition up an running, well, the webcomic anywho. Now I get to trip, stumble and flail around trying to figure out what this button does and where those extra parts go. So, updates on an official site to come. In the meantime, I'll be running Feral ignition both here and on Drunk Duck. Good times :)

It's a new year!

Journal Entry: Wed Jan 14, 2009, 5:24 PM
Welcome to the year 2009, check your crap at the door please.

I make it a point every year to NOT make any New Year resolutions. Why? Because to me, a resolution isn’t anything you shouldn’t already be doing, already be striving towards. Don’t turn it into a trivial one year trial you’ll probably ignore. Be like the commercial, just f’ing DO</i> it.
Anyway, here’s to another year. My goals remain the same as they always have: “maximum production.” Speaking of which, the year’s looking bright already, Brave the Fortress is rolling along (more teaser pics to come) and Feral Ignition is looking good to go in March. If things go according to plan, those won’t be the only project I get rolling this year.

It's Christmas time kiddies!

Journal Entry: Fri Dec 5, 2008, 7:35 PM
I love the holiday season, time for cold nights that start at 4pm, more excuses to buy yummy Dunkin' Donuts coffee, and that warm, fuzzy feeling you get when you hear someone slip in a pile of slush!

A few updates:

I have *completely* dropped the ball on the idea I wanted to get off the ground as soon as Transformers vs GoBots was done. Arg! I'm going to give myself until New Year's, then it's ready or not, here it comes :)
Speaking of Transformers vs Gobots, my fanfic was mentioned (in a positive light no less!) on a recent episode of the TFormers Podcast! Huzzah for transformers fans not immediately taking umbrage at the idea of TF and GoBots not only sharing the same universe, but the notion of the GoBots *not* being the butt of worn out jokes. You can check out the podcast directly on their site (click *here*) or searching for "TFormers" in the iTunes podcast directory.

In other news, Brave the Fortress is rolling along nicely, keep tuning in here and :iconnewbound:Newbound for more, upcoming teaser ads. Remember, the book hits in April of '09! In the meantime, keep checking out Newbound's DA page to see all the artists that are going to be involved, you may find something that piques your interest!

Progress

Tue Sep 30, 2008, 6:24 PM
More posting, more art, more ideas and most recently, more possibilities.

Check out Newbound Entertainment :iconnewbound:, we're putting together an Anthology that's slated to come out in early '09. My contribution, a little story I like to call:
Brave the Fortress.
I'll be posting characters and work as things develop.

Huzzah, the final chapter of Transformers vs GoBots is up! Thankfully MS word only lost my DA coding, not the editing. Phew! So chapter 10 is up in its entirety, I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
I. Am. Beyond. Fury.

Okay, so after editing the hell out of the last chapter to Transformers vs GoBots and re-typing entire sections that were somehow 'lost' despite the various CDs I saved the original version on...

After staying up till 2:30 making sure everything flowed and worked the way I wanted the text to, know I had to get up for work in the wee hours of the morn...

After adding AAAALLLLL the damn coding because f'ing Deviant Art can't do something as simple as load a formatted word document...

After noting where it needs to be broken apart into four bite sized sections, 66 pages worth of text mind you...

I crack open the files I email to myself AND copied onto my flash drive and find...
36 pages of unaltered text.

Now...

I know</B> I didn't forget to save as I worked... Though I have a PC at home, I've worked on enough Macs to develop the compulsion to save my progress every 3 and a half minutes for fear of the damn thing locking up. So what the F happened?
Who the F knows?

I wish I could type coherently this morning, but I can't, I cannot tell you how obscenely PISSED I am right now. I HATE missing deadlines. HATE it. Ask anyone I've ever worked with. When you say you're going to do something, then dammit, you're SUPPOSED to do it.

So what does this mean? Apparently it means the finale is going to have to be postponed until Monday, the earliest- as I'm going away for the weekend and won't have access to the files. I'm PRESUMING I haven't lost all the tweaking I did up until damn near 3AM. If I have... then I'll drive myself into the ground re-doing it and getting it ready to be posted by next Wednesday the LATEST.

My deepest apologies to anyone who was expecting it to be posted today-so did I. With any luck this was just a big brain fart on my end and the CORRECT files are sitting happily on my computer at home, just waiting to be posted. However, if that ins't the case... yarg... I'll keep you all updated.

Who knew Crasher would merit her own journal entry?  For anyone who doesn't know the theme to this year's Botcon set, the premise is a world where Autobots are bad, Decepticons good.  And if you haven't yet seen the profiles for the at-con exclusives, check out this blurb from Blurr's bio:

"...Yet, Prime uses Blurr as an information hub first, and a soldier second.  Constantly on the move, Blurr is well equipped to intercept messages from enemy couriers such as his heroic renegade cousin, Crasher."

Veeeery iiiinteresting.

Ha! Gobots continue to sneak into the TF stories!
This makes me almost glad and kind of annoyed at the same time.  Am I pleased to see the Gobots keep getting slid into TFs despite the *still* general consensus that they're only role should be as punching bags for the TFs? Kinda.  But at the same time, I'd *much* rather see Hasbro take a chance with them and give them their own sub line or a small comic spin off, or some short, 5-minute web-episodes to see if anyone really gives a crap about them.  Heck, I enjoyed the 5 minute shorts Cartoon Network aired for Clone Wars a HELL of a lot more than pretty much the entire run of episodes 1-3. But whatever, we get what we get.

Edit edit! Well well, click right here and lookie who's slated to pop up this fall in Walmart exclusive waves of Transformers Universe! Name's "Fracture". Hmmm.. Fract-ure, Crash-er, say it with me now.  If you don't believe me look at the alt mode and the purple face. Not as much black as I'd like, but if they were going for a fusion of her U.S and Japanese version, mission accomplished.  Too funny!  Poop, guess that means I'll have to actually sit down and customize some friends for her!

Anywho, posted a new Bad Chi, and Transformers vs Gobots, Chapter 6 is up, enjoy!

It's getting more and more difficult for me to think of anything to put in my journal.  I don't know how people do it on a near daily basis.  Nothing's going on that I think is important enough to share with the interweb. Ah well, I figured I should toss something up since I'm not having any technical difficulties loading Transformers vs Gobots.  For now at least, thank the Lord for small favors.

To anyone who was even remotely entertained by Transformers vs. Gobots:
Sorry, I tried, I really did.
I seem to have hit a brick wall when it comes to uploading simple text to DA.
Here's what happens: I go to upload a new deviation, fanfiction, enter the text (because part of the formatting issues have stemmed directly from uploading html or .doc or .rtf file I later have to go in a hit with a T-Square until it's sort-of readable), receive my preview, go through all their licensing k-chiggers, and then submit.  After that, DA summons it's own personal Hornswoggle who magically changes all that correctly formatted and clearly previewed text into a blank page.  I can't explain it, I've no clue how it happens. If any of you were around this morning you got to see me run through the rounds with this stupid system until I finally threw my hands up and deleted it.

So what now?
Well, I tried a few other approaches and was met with the same results, so for now this is the plan: TF vs GB, Chapter 3 will be up on the Transformers vs Gobots site tonight, I'll keep fighting with DA and *hopefully* get the next part uploaded here. But if I can't, then I'm afraid I'll just have to upload the art and point you to the main site once a new part goes up.  That's too bad because I actually liked getting the variety of responses here, but oh well.
  • Listening to: Sweeney Todd
Finally managed to get Transformers vs Gobots online! Hope you enjoy the fanfic and random bits of fanart :)  I have to warn you, it's on Fortunecity for the time being. Once I buy some actual webspace I'll be moving all my sites so you don't have to worry about being assaulted by large obnoxious ads. So if you don't want to deal with those, I'll be posting the story here as well. For anyone who wants to brave the site, I've added some artwork there that you haven't seen on DA yet.
Oh yes, if you come across any bugs, please let me know.
  • Watching: National Geographic: Fishzilla
Hey all,
Sorry about the impromptu disappearance! There were reasons, but in the end it doesn't change the fact that I vanished without meaning to for much longer than I wanted to.

Huzzah for progress! The Transformers vs Gobots website will be up by the week's end.  I had a design in mind but in the end realized that sometimes less is more.  So, the tentative plan is to take everything I've got up on DA and stick it there, along with a few tidbits not on DA.  I'll toss the chapters up on DA first as well, then move them over to the site, where I'll pepper them with random pics.
Thank you all for being so dang patient!

And since I'm updating this thing, a few things I think you should all do:
Go see the Mist!  Holy cow I was jazzed to see this movie since I saw the trailer and I was not disappointed!  The premise is this: a mysterious fog-er, mist spreads over a small town, and it's revealed that there are... things... in the mist. Imagine being trapped in a supermarket unable to leave for fear of wandering into the mist and never coming back out. Creepy.
Great acting, great story (I recommend you read the short story by Stephen King), and though the SFX aren't the best in the world, I think they more than get the point across and don't detract from what you're watching. There *are* a few things inserted that aren't in the original story, but this seems to be one of the few times that it isn't a detriment to the film.  Any changes they made (to me anywho) really added positively to the experience.  There was a brief moment towards the end where I started to think 'alright already', but I need to see it again and see if my reaction is the same. This film exceeded 1408 if you ask me.  I thought John Cusack was great, but I didn't like the extra whatnots they crammed in.

Thing number 2: If you like Futurama in any way, shape or form, go buy the new Futurama movie that came out on DVD, Bender's big score.  It is CHOCK full of refernces to past episodes, explains a whole lot of things you may have questioned in the other episodes (like how Fry's dog Seymore was coated in dolemite).  There were some areas that made me say 'Meh," but hey, overall it's fantastic. Go get it and support the dang franchise.

And now back to your regularly scheduled nonsense...
