"Extra Credits" is an awesome web video series that takes a long, hard look at games and explores what can be done to make them better. This week, the team listed a bunch of recent games that may have fallen under the radar but are well worth a look.
Games mentioned include 'The World Ends With You', 'Amnesia: The Dark Descent', 'Demon's Souls', 'Final Fantasy: Dissidia', 'Professor Layton', 'ilomilo', and of course, at 5:27, our personal favourite, 'Ghost Trick'. It only appeared for a few seconds, but when a previous epidsode reccomended the webgame 'Echo Bazaar', the site nearly broke due to the massive influx of new players. This is a reason to celebrate, people.
'Minecraft' got an honourable mention but was disquailified because the only way you haven't heard of that one is if you don't own a computer.
The video can be viewed here , and while you're at it I strongly reccomend checking out the other Extra Credits videos which include topics such as racial and sexual diverstiy, innovation, marketing, piracy, free speech, narrative and so much more.
