I'm leaving DeviantArt. The platform just isn't as enjoyable as it used to be. Over time, I was already losing interest in DA. Last year (2019), I was thinking about leaving DeviantArt. I hesitated to abandon my account here, but it's finally time for me to go. If I'll be honest, this account is more of a burden to me than anything. Not because of the people on here, but because of me. I lost interest in DeviantArt, it's no one's fault for me not seeing this place like I did when I was an optimistic 12 year old. I will not deactivate my account, I'm just not coming back to it. I didn't want to have two journals announcing that commissions are open back to back, so I deleted the last one. The reason I am making a new journal is because I actually have a reason to take commissions now. When I started off as a digital artist, all I had was an old MacBook Pro and a small Wacom Intuos CTL-480 tablet. I've gone through multiple tablets, but I've been stuck with the same laptop. My laptop isn't aging very gracefully. She's managed to get this far, but I know I'm going to have to get a piece of technology that won't blow up after being on for an hour. Currently, my family is not in the financial position to buy a new computer. Since this is a thing that I want for myself, I know that I will have to work for it, just like my current drawing tablet. About a year ago, my laptop was destroyed by someone that I thought I could trust with it. No matter what I try to do, my laptop still hasn't fully recovered. It constantly restarts out of no where with no warning, freezes
