This is kind of a new way of starting a 'prologue' with my usual "DiD" related fics. Well, it's plainly obvious that this segment is based off the The Amazing Spider-Man story line. A "What if" realm where Peter Parker never got over his grief(a slight modification to a story line that is already canon in the Spider-Verse story line). I'm one of the minorities that liked the two Amazing Spider-Man movies, so I wanted to keep some of its legacy alive with this little segment that will lead to a story that invovles everyone's favorite new "Spider-Woman": Spider-Gwen. :D

Oh, and I'm also writing one of Jessica Drew invovling in her own peril in the Spider-Verse world!

Sweet! When will you be writing more of it?

And is this Spider-Man wearing the black suit?

I want to get a commission done first that involves Spider-Gwen in a distressing situation. xD

And he will be wearing a black suit, but I was more thinking on the lines that it resembles the "Bullet Point"/"Assassin Spider-Man", black and smoke grey, with the symbol on his chest and back identical to the Andrew Garfield Spidey Emblem. I was thinking of commissioning it one of these days to have a good 'reference'. I just used the "Back in Black" cover because it fits the mood of the 'prologue'.

I see. That makes sense.

So, when will the commission be done so that you can get to this story?

You should really turn this into a non-DiD story since it would fit perfectly with the whole purpose of the Spider-Verse.

For a DiD fan to suggest I make this story a non-DID story is something I will take as a compliment. =) and you know, I have considered that idea. But I truly want to write a Spider-Gwen story that is DiD related that has a bit more 'heart' to it. I have another project coming up that involves Spider-Gwen but it's going to be 'quick'. This Spider-Verse story is actually my take on the story where it involves Gwen 'visiting' the Spider-Goblin's dimension. As I said in the description, I truly was a fan of the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man and I do like Spider-Gwen. While there will be DiD involved(a good amount), I will focus on the story, and what it has to do with the Spider-Verse event.

As for when the commission will be done, I'm not sure. I have a lot of ideas lined up, commissions waiting to be done, and it depends on which artist I go with. My main one has a lot of work he does so he isn't as 'fast' per say with his work; also, I'm not sure if you have taken a gander at my page, but I tend to pile myself up with projects left and right... lol. A bit of a problem, suffice to say. :D This story I believe will be a 'major project', so until I finish one on the list, this one will be on the 'waiting' list for a while.

Whoa. I talk too much. Again, thanks for your feedback. it truly is appreciated.

Talk about a shift in spider-sense. Sure we have seen Peter go dark before under the influence of the black suit but here to see his shift in attitude based solely on his pain breaking him. To see him embrace pure violence for the sake of pleasure, to reflect on all the little traits he used to have like joking around and being the friendly neighborhood spider-man before dismissing them as past mistakes was really fascinating and a new take on a classic story. It really does open up a myriad of ways to delve deeper into the mind of another tortured soul that has suffered to much pain.

Of course since this is but a prologue of sorts you of course also manage to end things off with even more intrigue as we see everything is certainly not right on this side of the marvel verse meaning there is sure to be more trouble then one spidey can handle. I look forward to seeing just where this tortured peter parker goes and who else might pop in for a visit as the story goes on. As always a wonderful hook to draw my interest in yet another of your wonderful ideas friend =)

You know how much I love the Amazing Spider-Man idea. While the movies did have some (major) flaws, I rather liked the chemistry of Parker and Gwen, I adored the first costume in the first movie, and there was potential in there. OF course I've always been a big fan of Gwen Stacy and for her to be a "Spider-Woman" in another realm, that is just awesome. OF course she is no Jessica Drew, but still.

Spider-Verse is a very interesting take on the lore of Peter Parker; one that can be easily arranged to fit the many lines in the webbing in the grand scheme of the story. xD one that a fanfictioner such as myself will totally take advantage of.

xD And eventually Spider-Gwen will find herself 'face to face' with a darker Peter Parker who didn't really 'survive' the death of the Gwen Stacy of his world. Peril indeed. xD

Thank you! Wish I can take all the credit but this idea is a 'modification' of a story line that happened in Spider-Verse. But again, I'm a big fan of the Andrew Garfield Spidey so... I wanted to keep that legacy going. :D

Thanks! And Jessica Drew is always a must. :D My favorite Marvel gal; no other Spider-Woman can compare, not even Spider-Gwen. xD
