Kintsugi rabbit by gescheitert Kintsugi rabbit by gescheitert
Made in autumn 2014

This rabbit was one of my next attempts. It's fairly big and I worked quickly on it, not paying enough attention to the clay. As a result, an air bubble persisted and the rabbit exploded during the first firing. Since it broke quite cleanly into few pieces, I decided to try Kintsugi which I had seen on reddit before... I didn't really get it right with the materials I had, but it turned out ok. The glaze is a mix of matte black and brown and turned out almost black (closer to the second photo).

Height: 20 cm
Sculpting time: ca. 100 minutes
