Another view of this tree in Belvoir Forest Park Belfast, which I have photographed on many occasions. This time the vantage point is from low down in the gulley behind the tree, looking upwards.
I love the shape of this tree, and the bark has so much character - not to mention some characters in it, in the shape of a few names carved.

i like the colors. the low angle of view emphasizes the size of the tree. the crop brings out the use of space in the tree limbs and turns them in to more then just limbs. its a way to defiance space and breaks them into negative spaces. Taken individually these pieces would make a good picture; collectively they make a great composition. i could go on...
