Gimp Animated Rain Brush by Geosammy Gimp Animated Rain Brush by Geosammy
This is a Gimp brush pipe, just move the brush across the canvas and it will paint rain similar to what's in the preview image.
Also in the preview image are the 4 cells that make up this animated Gimp pipe brush.
Enjoy and with a little experimentation... this brush can go a long way.

You can find other resources for "Gimp" in my "Gimp Brush & Resources" folder by clicking here...

The photo of the horse used in the preview image is called 'Frisian horses 13' by :iconphotohouse:. [link]

I'm sorry,
however 10 points isn't hard to come by...

Furthermore... 10 points is the lowest point cost DA allows.

The brush is rather large, (288x984) and the rain within the brush is white on a transparent background. If you click and hold on the brush in the brush dialog to show it's preview,  it should appear as a solid white brush.
If you right click on the brush in the brush dialog and select Open Brush As Image you will notice that it has 4 layers, all with transparency.
What you are seeing is actually normal. It has been tested and will function as described.

A silly question...  Have you attempted to us the brush in any way?

Wow, these would be just perfect for making a comic, or just any art in general for me.

I should probably save up for it, hehe ;P

Thanks I'm happy you like this Gimp brush.

As for the cost, 10 point is the least amount that can be set when asking people to purchase your stuff.
Good luck saving up the points. :iconnswinkplz:

I have added a link in my description, along with giving you credit for the photo.

Sorry for not doing this form the start, I apologize and will be much more careful about this issue in the future.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and not ripping me a new one. ;-)

How exactly do I get this brush so it appears where the rest of my brushes are in Gimp?

You have to place the brushes in your Gimp 'Brushes' folder. If you are using Windonds XP I can show you where to put the brushes.

If you are using other then Windows XP, I can still help you, but I can't be sure that it will work.

In Windows, there are 2 places that you can place Gimp brush files.

What OS are you using to open Gimp with?

Yes your right:icondancewithhamsterplz: and I've always wondered why it hasn't been done before.
As far as I know...:iconcheerdanceplz:it's the only animated rain brush around, I haven't seen any others yet.
Have you seen any other Gimp animated rain brushes around:iconquestionmarkplz:

No I haven't seen any others. If you truly are the first person to make an animated rain brush then congrats :)
(even if you're not the first, this brush is really cool)

Thanks...
There are rain brushes available, but most of them are either one single brush. That gives you the same rain pattern every time.
Then there the multiple brush type, in which you have to switch back and forth from brush to brush.
My brush gives you a different rain pattern every time with a single pass of the brush.

Thanks, I didn't do much testing so I hope that the brush work well for you and anyone else that might download it.
I think pipe brushes are the way to go for some brushes. Instead of having 4 individual brushes this is only 1 brush.

Agree stamp brushes are only to be use one time, but pipe / animated(depend which brushes) are best.Great result with a small brushes.Big brushes as animated brushes use high memory to load and to use can crash the soft.I have few animated brushes used more than 10 grayscale images, more diversify result, like asteroid.

I planned to make animated rain, but i will not make it,you made is great. When i fav resources,i share to my friend,i almost always use my own resources. But i like to share with my fav to my friend the great work.

Have a great day
Frost
