Overall this is nice, especially for a speed creation.

The crashing moon feels off to me, as it is in front of the clouds. Given the perspective, with the moon/other in front, it is not really that big, is it? I would have preferred the moon to feel solid also, rather than an empty eggshell.

That is the negative. The positive is the lighting. I think that is executed well and it feels "right."

Given that this is a speed effort, I try and stand back a bit and not focus on the cloud details too much. Most painting has a different feel from a distance and too many put their face right up against a monitor.

If you were to spend time playing with this, I would focus on the moon, which for me lessens the impact of the feel.

As for the "stars" on the critique. The Originality is middle because this is a prompt for a speed effort. The cloud bank is a nice touch and the feeling of more detail in the terrain is nicely done.

My critique is as a viewer, not as an artist. I am a writer. My mother was a water color artist (for 60 years+) and I learned something about technique on that, but digital art is different.

Nice work.
