Flag of the American Theocracy by GeneralHelghast Flag of the American Theocracy by GeneralHelghast
Here is a flag of what could happen to the United States if Evangelical Protestantism continues to consolidate power and establish a theocracy. Given that they view Donald Trump, our dimwitted, senile President of the United States, as a reincarnation of Cyrus the Great, they would go so far as to make a false idol of him. In this dystopian, feudalistic society, the nation becomes so decentralized that it'll end up being a confederation of land-owning elites who are subordinate only to a council of Evangelical Protestant pastors who promote a creationist, isolation its worldview that depicts America as their little "city on a hill" and show hostility towards the outside world. The giant border wall that Donald Trump would waste people's money on, combine with the replacement of capitalism with protectionist-feudalism, would eventually cause a famine that would kill a third of the population. Those same unlike souls would be seen by the two later generations as the "blessed ones" because they thought that instead of starving to death, they were raptured into heaven. Even the Council itself would stoop so low as to accept their own lies as truth. The fundamentalist society treats women as the inferior sex fit only for breeding children, promotes the enslavement of blacks and Hispanics, forbids the same enslaved peoples from reading, destroys any and all historical landmarks and scientific institutions that do not fit their desires of returning to the 17th century society of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, deems science and modern technology as "witchcraft," calls all non-whites as "children born with the Curse of Ham," persecute anyone who does not agree with their Evangelical Protestant worldview, especially Catholics like myself, and views the Jews, Arabs, and possibly the Irish as "Devil worshippers." That, my friends, is what the pro-Trump faction that now makes up the majority of the Republican Party and their supporters in the Evangelical Right want to achieve. They care little for the Catholics and other none-Evangelicals who support them and will do with them once they bend American society into their worldview the same way that ISIS tried to do with the Middle East. Slowly, American is becoming a lot like Orwell's Animal Farm whenever a keep hearing anything about Trump, Pence, and the growing influence of Evangelical Protestants in America and beyond. Such a society would be absolutely SATANIC.

Well, people in the left confuse him as a fascist, but in truth, he is just a dimwitted womanizer who likes to grab the private parts of women. The religious right (where Evangelical Protestants, it seems, have most of the power) have humbled him to the point that his policies are now made compatible with their backward, isolationist, superstitious worldview in his public speeches.

The cross of St-Michel is very unfitted for such a state.

The United States will never be a theocracy, in the grand scheme of US history, even when the US on a political daily would envoke God and the like, the US never became a theocracy. Even the Mormons, a highly religious group who attempted to set up their own state in their original constitution of Deseret guaranteed freedom of religion and democracy(in the form at the time). Anyone who invokes such non-sense that the US will become a theocracy because of those "evul evangelikals", is talking out of fantasy. I'm sorry it's just the hard truth. It'll never happen, so stoking people's political ego and fear mongering won't do anyone any good.

Thankfully, we do have the Constitution that prevents a gradual step into theocracy. However, if theocracy did occur, it would do so violently and lead to the deaths of a few million lives. I pray to God that the Evangelical Protestants don't get the chance to achieve their mad desires.

Its not the Protestants or even Catholics you have to worry about. . .its the Shariah Muslims that are the problem.

Protestant fundamentalists are just as toxic to society as Muslim extremists, to be honest. I will not choose either of these two extremist groups. Nor would I side with militant atheists in league with Dawkins, who keeps on the myth that evolution and religion are incompatible.

I honestly think your fear is misplaced, as someone who has interacted with them personally most are constitutionalists at heart and it's hard to imagine them actually putting in a theocractic dictatorship where there is no democratic function. At the most a theo-democracy like that of Poland or a very heavily toned down Iran(who I argue is far less worse than actual theocratic dictatorships like Saudi Arabia), although ironically I think race relations in an evangelical state would actually be better than the current state of affairs(at least with most races). Millions definitely wouldn't die as a result, I can tell you that much, although there will probably be a huge body count when the system collapses in on itself.
