It turns out the symbiote in question was not Venom after all. The creature calls itself "Darkness".

as good as this looks i must chastize the symbiote. Seriously your species need to start coming up with more original names.
It's certainly something I've been brainstorming on the side.

Your Crimson Blood character would find no ally in Darkness (both before and after she was saved from the Queen).

I know, it's a bummer. First she's evil, but she's also subjugated by a nefarious alien intelligence. Then her friend has to come along and free her from that, and then she turns good.
You draw Symbiotes so well. ^_^
