More gesture drawings!

"When god created the world, he created three basic shapes: Cylinder, Box, and Sphere." -Sheldon (not directly qtd XD)

Use it!!

I think I'm improving. But I haven't been drawing much lately! Must get back into it or I'll fall behind ^^ The more curvier model does some really nice poses~! Every model has a distinct shape. Since I've seen them so often, I recognize them in my drawing.

I especially like the one with the arm behind the back, top picture, third from the right.

How long does it take to get good at this? Feels like it's taking me forever. :-(

So did you outline them there to post here or was that part of the 5 minutes?

These don't look like what I have seen of gesture drawings, but they are still really good :)

Wow. Utterly amazing. I'm taking life drawing this semester and I thought I was pretty hot shit artistically until this class. Man, these ROCK. I have not grasped gesture drawing. I pretty much taught myself to draw on top of natural talent, but I didn't get the education on techniques in grade and high school. For example, how to draw the figure "from the inside out"- you map out the figures beautifully! I am truley moved and inspired. thank you for your talent :-)

That model is amazing...we have one that's fairly alright, but the teacher is to stiff and has no concept of variety...and the other models just plain suck. :(
