While nursing marching feet back into complete obedience I think back on the past few days. I have actively attended an event in England - the great Military Odyssey 2011 in Detling. There, marching as a soldier, being part of the colour party, I have stood both as the defender of the colours and as the bearer of them. I had a great time also in camp and taking part in battles even if my shoes decided to have one up on me in making their soles the worse during a march. On the last day of battle I have dueled a French officer with a sword (as this was also the only weapon I bore in hand, defending the colours and giving them a chance to escape

Other than being out and about more often than I can count, and that's a good fine thing :D, things have been rather normal. Been to a few movies with friends, been 'animal tracking' as well, choosing paths that we don't know, are not on the map but usually lead us to some very interesting places. We did take a wrong turn once (wrong in the meaning of, having come across the same road the second time, otherwise there is NO wrong turn! *grin*). Well I must say the weekend was very fine, great and all in all a must repeat!
