After a rather unsuccessful launch into the theme parks and resorts market in 1993, International Genetic Technologies (InGen), based in Palo Alto, California, soon found its way into the lucrative world of merchandising, culminating in a multi-million dollar industry.

They now specialize in designing and selling all kinds of goods and services adorning cute, cartoony characters based around various dinosaurs and prehistoric animals. Their first, and still most popular character to date, is a pink and white Dilophosaurus named "Hello Spitty". Spitty's face, along with the rest of InGen's array of designs, is being massively sold on thousands of different products worldwide, ranging from plastic raincoats to shaving cream cans.
