wood is plane, platanus.

As the wood has a very faint vein, I finished the surface chiseled with handcut facets and oiled.

size is 69 x 34 x 28 cm,

There was recently (mid march 2023) a discussion on "explicit work" by DA on this piece, which flagged this as Mature content. I am totally disagreeing:

This work of art of classical sculpture thematizes femininity itself with its values such as being earthbound, fertility, protection, sensuality, beauty without appealing to sexual instincts. It shows the harmony and shape of the female body, with no indication of whether this body is naked or clothed, and shows neither female genitalia, nor exposed breasts with nipples. Likewise, the work does not show individual traits, but tries to reflect the feminine in itself in a formulaic way. This type of art is based on millennia-old idol figures, or the art of past centuries, which depict the feminine without offending sensitive feelings. This type of artistic representation can be seen in abundance in the museums and galleries of the world, and even in public spaces, without being disputed as offensive. I asked to revise the classification as "explicit" work and would really like to hear your position and comments.

In addition I would refer to Rene Magritte with his work „Ceci n’est pas une pipe.“

PS: At the end of the day, and after about 10 days, DA revised it´s decision on the mature tag and had it removed! Thanks and a relief for me!
