Submission limits - how to use them
So, a lot of you are confused about how to actually use these shiny new submissions limits! Here are some examples that should help you sort out what to do to get your limits sorted the way you want them to be...
Submission limits are found in the "Manage members" settings, under "On Gallery" or "On Favourites". (You can limit both gallery and favourites and the settings are completely independent.)
I want to limit my members to 3 submissions per week in total, whatever folders they put them in
Choose "3 per week" from the dropdown next to "Featured" and then make sure all other folders are set to "Global Setting".
I want my members to be able to submit 2 a day to each folder
Click on "show all folders" then select "2 per day" for every folder.
I want my members to be able to submit as many deviations as they like, but only one a month to the featured folder
Choose "1 per month" from the featured dropdown and set all the other folders to "unlimited". (Techni

Artist | Student | Digital Art
United Kingdom
Concept artist and 3d modeller, currently studying Games Concept Design level 3 at Staffordshire university.

Looking forward to working in the Games industry after finishing my uni.
Your gift is something you're born with, ever had a person come up to you say why art? why not by an accountant, a banker, a doctor or a nurse?
The reason they say that is because they can't see your dream for you, if was given to you, not them. Self doubt, pity feeling, sorrow and anxiety are all things we allow into our lives when we are not focused on our gift. You know that feeling you get when you've finished a piece and it looks awesome, that feeling is the same feeling athletes get after finishing a race or a hiker gets after climbing a mountain.

Even though I didn't draw for most part of my life, I know I was born with the gift to draw. One of my first memory as a child is of my Mom painting a flower patter on a pillow. I remember taking part in weekend art fairs where we would sit on the grass and paint a landscape after which we were all given a piece of sweet and pencils. I remember all these as being my good memories, for some reason they stuck in my mind more than anything else. Only after moving to England I stopped drawing, I didn't think I had it in me, my friends were way too good and my teacher really thought she knew what she was saying when she commented on my art abilities. I let that get the best of me and just complained about the fact that maybe it wasn't meant to be. From the age of 14 I started working at various places, over 20 and gained some experience but I didn't enjoy any of the jobs as much as I enjoy drawing. My gift has always been with me and as much as I let the society tell me that there is no money in art and you'll struggle just like the other artist, I believe in my talents and skills. I believe that I can make more money selling art than working in a bank or owning a business that I don't enjoy.

What gifts are you born with?

Maybe you like drawing comics, concept art, animation, 3D art or photography. Whatever dream you have, make sure you work on it, improve it, gain new skills to allow you to take your gift to a new level. Don't let anyone tell you what you can and cannot do, not your parents, your sisters or your closest friend.

Enjoy the rest of your week,
  • Listening to: My inner voice
  • Reading: Nah
  • Watching: Orange is the new black
  • Playing: with my tablet
  • Eating: Rice and Lentil
  • Drinking: Green tea (as usual)
