What exactly is a hero?
The concept of a "hero" seems to be more popular here in Rune-Midgard than what I am accustomed to. From what I can gather, "heroes" are those who selflessly protect others, or serve others for the good of the general public. They expect no reward for their altruism, but simply want to do anything they can to help others because they want to or feel inclined to. I suppose, by this definition, Edward could very well be seen as a hero.
He certainly had made a lasting first impression. I had been too careless, and it should have been my own problem to clean up. But even though he hadn't even known whom I was, nor did he have anything to gain, he hadn't hesitated to assist me. Since then, this altruism of his has remained consistently apparent, time and again - not just towards me, or towards his friends, but also for the strangers we have met thus far, even if he sometimes might go a bit overboard. For this, I respect, even admire, him. Lygnett had not been

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, or so the saying goes.
Shame that his daily indulgence of alcohol did little to keep the memories of his former doctor away.
Each swig of the bottle warmed him up, but Alderan still felt a chill that he couldn’t rid himself of. The warmth from the alcohol was nothing compared to the warmth Gertie could provide him.
Had provided him, he corrected himself as he tipped his bottle back, before she up and left him with little more than a note that only raised more painful questions than they answered. Well, no, that wasn’t entirely correct, either; she had left him with a turmoil in his heart that she had once quelled and nightmares that occasionally plagued his sleep. Maybe he had become obsessed with her. It certainly wouldn’t have been the first time he was obsessed with a woman, anyway.
But somehow, this felt a little different.
This was more than just desiring what she could provide him, be it her

Schwartzvald - M.G. HQ - Some unspecified time before the guild party in Comodo
A large, round table, simple yet modern in design, stood in the center of the spacious conference room. The only light in the room emanated from wide glass panels filtering the weak light of a waking sun. Seated at the table were three figures whose identities were
"WHY IS EVERYONE JOINING R.P.G.?"
The other two members shrugged. They had no clue.
Their leader slammed his fists upon the table. "I WANT ANSWERS, AND I WANT THEM NOW!"
After some deliberation, one of the other two figures offered, "Could it be our guild name? After all, the name is the first thing a potential applicant sees. If they don't like it at first glance, they won't try it to buy it."
The other figure

“Oh…” Raelyn breathed, hushed voice filled with awe as the two stepped into the old, dilapidated building.
Despite the eerie silence and the dark energies she sensed surrounding this place, Raelyn couldn’t help but wander around to inspect the area. Glast Heim, she had once read, used to be Rune Midgard’s capital and had housed some of the finest warriors of the land. The rows of knight statues in this entrance hall had clearly once been a symbol of pride; now they served as a dark reminder of how this city, once filled with life, was inhabited by demons and the undead. Standing in such a historical site made Raelyn shiver, and she wasn’t quite sure if the thrill was from fear or excitement. “So this is the former Knight’s Guild? It’s so much more impressive than the one in Prontera.”
“Raelyn, we have a missing person on our hands,” Edward reminded her gently. “I prefer not making it two. It’s be

"Would you look at that, Oletta?" A blond Sniper laughed delightedly, slightly cross-eyed as he watched for the small puffs his breath left in the air. "Not many places that get as cold as this. Look look, I'm a dragon. Rawr~" The white falcon sheltering inside the hood of his coat appeared less than impressed.
However, Jala wasn't the only one around. Thanks to his assistant, Alderan was informed about this unique experience to go to New World and look with his own eyes what was the camp like. Nonetheless, his interest wasn't only in observation.
"Today we are going to co
