New Profile Design 2018 by Gasara New Profile Design 2018 by Gasara
As the title suggests, my new profile design for 2018 is up!

I do like a nice, tidy, minimal layout and though it doesn't exactly shout about the fact I do drawings it does still feel very Gasara-ish. Most people tend to check out my profile for / from my resources though so it does sort of make sense to have that aspect front and center (even though I still consider myself to be primarily an illustrator). I kept the dark theme because I enjoyed that about my last design. All in all, it's taken me about a day and a bit to put the design together and sort out all the coding. I figure that's quite slow by general standards but it's pretty quick by mine. And I've got to admit that I'm well pleased with this. :la:

If any of you fancy having a little click around to double check things are working that would be splendid. If you find anything that's gone wrong then please let me know. Thank you x

Notes

i. The buttons in the Donate widget do work but the bars have to be updated manually so please don't worry if you give me a llama, for example, and the counter doesn't change. I'll be updating the totals every weekend.

ii. The calendar will be updated to show my activity on deviantART and to show any events coming up. Again, these will be added manually as things come up.

You're profile designs inspire me to want to learn more HTML and CSS once I'm done learning Python and spruce up my profile to the best of my abilities since I'm not a core member ;; I thought your last one looked amazing but this one blows it out of the water yet again~ Bravo

I've done it before with Custom widgets when they haven't lined up. I took screenshots and measured the difference between the bottom of adjacent widgets. I then made and added a small transparent image the same height as the difference to push one side down until it matched. In some ways this was easier as the three 'widgets' are just a single background image designed to be identical to the widgets on the left. It's one of those things that's actually pretty simple but it actually took me a while to figure it out..!

Thanks lovely!
