You can use the example icon shapes as bases if you like.

Hey, my problem is that I don't want the title to appear. I've seen in some people's gallery that the title doesn't appear. I just want the title to be in the icon, not below the icon. How do I change this? I noticed that your gallery doesn't show the title of these images either.

Go to your gallery and click "Edit page" at the top right.
Then hover over one of the folders and a small paintbrush box should appear. Click on it.
This will load a menu, then select 'edit this widget'
that will open a new menu and there you can select 'hide labels'

Hi. This is explained at the bottom of section 02 in this tutorial. You have to add the space manually to your images as there's no margin by default. Edit your images to add 1 or 2px of transparent space at the bottom of the image.

How do I get rid of the display name?? The icons aren't touching in my gallery and I think it's the display names that are separating them, how do I get rid of it? (every time I remove the display name then press 'save changes' it acts as if nothing has happened)

Yes, when in the gallery go to edit page. Then click the edit folder button on the corner of the folder (it looks like a pencil) press edit widget then check the box to hide the labels

I have been trying to add the icons but there is always a gap between the icons where the name if the folder appears and I can't seem to create the seamless image effect. Do you know why this is?

Hi. The default display is seamless so your images should automatically display without gaps. You'll have to turn the titles off though.

Hopefully this will help. If not, let me know.

What resolution do you set everything to?
I'm trying to get everything a nice clean crisp design but it's all pixelated and I have no idea how to fix it.

I'm starting a species group and i did the Folder Options step but i couldn't see the Icon between Display and CSS.  Screenshot (76) by AuttumntheGuardian   Screenshot (77) by AuttumntheGuardian

Is there something wrong or is it because i'm not a Core? Or is there a Widget or a setting i need to change?

Hiya. This is something I haven't noticed before so I've just taken a look in one of my own groups and,no, there's no option. I don't know for sure but I don't think I've seen custom folders in a Group but if some do have them then I assume it must be a Super Group feature. Sorry I can't be more help.

Hi. Yes, there is indeed. Click on the Edit Page button in your gallery then hover over the folder icon you wish to remove. The pencil icon will display. Click on that and choose Edit this Widget. You'll see a little drop-down menu where you can choose how to display your folders. Set it to Links and save.

Deviantart insists on putting a title on the folder, which appears below the image. Is there any way to remove the title? If I just leave the "name" field blank the folder will just be named "devious folder".

There isn't a way to do that but i suggest just using a full stop ( '.' ) as your folder name.

It can be as small as you like, the only limitation is its maximum size.

Hiya. I don't really use the mobile version so I'm not all that familiar with problems arising from mobile use, I'm afraid. I can only suggest that you check your image is saved as either a .png or .jpg, that it isn't any larger than 152px in width and that you set your folder icons to display as thumbs. If you still have problems after that just let me know.

1) Click on Edit Page in your gallery
2) Hover over the icon you want to show and click on the pencil icon
3) Clock on Edit This Widget
4) Choose Set As Thumbs

This is great but how do you centre the icon? At the moment I'm experimenting with a placeholder image but basically I want the image on the right to be centred and the correct size like on the left in this image: ibb.co/figG2G How can I go about doing this? I've tried changing the size of the folder icon so that it's bigger but I would really like to have this icon the right size and position before I start editing XD

:icongasara:
Gasara Featured By Owner Jan 3, 2018  Professional General Artist
Hi. When you set the image as your icon I think it should automatically center. If it doesn't then you can try placing your image it in the center of a transparent background 152px wide. That's the maximum width an icon can be so it should, again, sit in the center.

If you need further help just let me know.

So I've attempted to use this tutorial, however I can't seem to get it to work?

This is what it looks like (It's a 152x70), yet whenever I go to look at the results, it doesn't appear.
If you could help, that would be amazing. Thanks!

Hiya. Sorry this reply is so late!

I'm not sure what the problem could be exactly but I'd suggest checking that 1) the image you want to used is saved as a .png or .jpg and 2) that your icons are set to display as thumbs.

If you still need help with this just let me know.
