Loong (Chinese 'Dragons') by GarthHaslam Loong (Chinese 'Dragons') by GarthHaslam
The Loong of China, often mistakenly thought of as Chinese 'Dragons', are powerful water spirits that inhabit all bodies of water. This is the Loong of the Yellow River, the greatest river in China, and the symbol of the Emperor's power... only the Emperor of China was ever allowed to display or wear images of a yellow Loong. Heck, in the past being caught with a picture of a yellow Loong could get you executed!
This is the main illustration in my article on Loong at my Monsters Here & There website. [MonstersHereThere.com]
