Lord Shen info:

Weapons: Wings, Daggers, Guan Dao, Cannons

Strengths: Is the main villain of Kung Fu Panda 2 and the cause of the widely believed Panda extinction, Incredible strength (Despite being a Peacock Lord Shen possesses strength far above what should be natural for him, Can cut through metal chains with ease, Can cut through wooden beams over a foot thick with ease, Knocked out six trained Antelope Guards with a single Wing strike, Tripped Po who weighs over 200lbs with a sweep of his Tail Feathers), High speed (Despite being a Peacock Lord Shen can move far faster than what should be natural to him, Can keep up with and outspeed Kung Fu Masters, Speedblitzed Po and forced him on the defensive for the majority of their fight), Genius intelligence (Is a military genius, Figured out how Kung Fu can easily be defeated via Firearms and explosives), Can be considered to be the most evil Kung Fu Panda villain and arguably set Po’s life onto the path it led.

Weaknesses: Despite his strength and speed being higher than that of a natural Peacock Lord Shen possesses durability on par with one as his fighting style revolves around avoiding being hit and being killed by having one of his Cannons land on him, Suffers from a near god complex which forces him to make rash decisions when his authority is questioned, Is so set in his ways and goal of ruling China he will choose death over admitting defeat.

Height: 7 foot 4

Weight: 99lbs

Weapons: Great Eagle Bow W/ Assorted Arrows

Strengths: Was one of the four Champions in the fight against Calamity Ganon and the Pilot of the Divine Beast Vah Medoh, Extreme strength (Can be considered to be the strongest of the Rito race, Kicked Link off balance when he was defending with his Shield, Can lift beings that way more than triple his own weight, Can harm the likes of Link, Bokoblins, Moblins and Windblight Ganon), Extreme durability (Can survive falling dozens of metres, Can tank hits from a casual Link, Can survive close range explosions), Hypersonic speeds/FTL reactions (Can keep up with the likes of Link and Windblight Ganon, Can dodge point blank Guardian Lasers), Is a master Marksman with a Bow and Arrow (Is considered to be one of the best the Rito ever produced. Can hit pinpoint shots from hundreds of yards away even when firing multiple Arrows at once, Can fire Arrows with the force of a gale, Effortlessly broke all Rito Village Archery records, His skill with a Bow is arguably as great as Link’s skill with a Sword).

Weaknesses: Is one of the most arrogant characters in the entirety of the Legend of Zelda bordering on a god complex which can be used against it as he believed he could take on the Calamity by himself which led to his death against Windblight Ganon, 

Battle begin!

The water surrounding the Rito Village glowed with the crimson light of countless lanterns as dozens of battle barges floated towards its shores, each barge filled with bipedal Wolf Soldiers and at the forefront leading them a regal looking white Peacock.

Alongside the Seers prophecy of his end coming from a Warrior of Black and White Lord Shen had also been warned of a Knight of Courage, prompting him to travel from China to Hyrule to cut the threat off at the source, now standing at the shores of the Rito Village with the goal of subjugation the Avian People to his rule against the fabled Knight of Courage.

Standing at the bow of the most forefront Battle Barge Shen eyed the Village with a wicked glee in his eye, enjoying both the prospect of new Soldiers to serve him or how the Village itself would look quite lovely when set ablaze.

His pondering was cut short however as a Wolf Soldier nervously approached the Peacock to ask him their orders, Shen giving him a cutting glare before snapping his gaze back to the Village “a warning shot to announce our presence” he commanded to which the Wolf scurried off to relay the order, one of the huge Cannons secured to the barge behind Shen beginning to move into place as a Cannonball was loaded into it, one of the Wolves lighting a torch to hold just an inch away from the Cannon's wick as he then looked back to his Lord for confirmation.

“Fire”.

With that the Barge shunted backwards slightly as the Cannon fired, its booming roar shattering the peaceful air as the massive Cannonball was sent hurtling towards Rito Village, Shen’s only warning to the Rito race.

A warning that was shot out of the sky before it could make it even half way to its target.

Before the Peacock could question what had stopped his assault the Barge next to his suddenly exploded, sending the Wolf Soldiers on it screaming into the air and water whilst the blast caused powerful waves sending Shen’s Barge rocking violently, the Peacock planting his feet to secure himself and violently showing one of his Soldiers off of the barge as they nearly fell onto him whilst his eyes scanned the skies.

“What are they shooting?! I can’t hear Cannons!” another Wolf Soldier exclaimed as more Barges around them suddenly exploded, each explosion following not the roar of Cannon fire but a high pitched whistling sound, something like…

Arrows.

“There!” Lord Shen then barked as he finally caught sight of what was shooting at them, a blue feathered Avian darting through the air at blistering speeds, far faster than anything he had ever seen before but despite his speed was still landing perfect shots upon them “fire back! Fire the Cannons!”.

“But my Lord! We can’t aim at it!”.

“I don’t care! Just fire! Dissorient and overwhelm him!” he ordered to which the Cannons on the remaining barges were loaded and lit, filling the air with a cacophony of booming eruptions as Cannonballs shot into the air towards the Rito.

Scoffing at the sight of the swiftly approaching Cannonballs Revali simply rolled in the air to avoid one before drawing three Bomb Arrows and notching them in his Bow “childs play” he stated as he fired the Arrows down at the remaining Cannonballs, the Arrows detonating on contact to blow slow down and knock the Balls off course, slowing their momentum enough that they slowly stopped their ascent before plummeting back down to the Barges below.

Cursing his Barge rocked violently as a Cannonball came crashing through it causing it to rapidly take on water the Peacock promptly drew an ornate Dagger and stabbed the nearest Wolf Guard to his side before using his body to climb up from the rising water, having killed him to prevent him from reflexively fighting him off before using the Guard to leap onto the closest Barge that wasn’t sinking, spreading his Wings and Tail Feathers to glide over the water as the Barge he was just on exploded from a Bomb Arrow striking it.

“Out of all of the attacks upon Rito Village we have suffered over the years this has to be the most…pathetic”.

Narrowing his eyes at the sound of the insult Shen turned as Revali came to land on the Barge, the Rito casually swinging a Wing to the side to create a powerful gust of Wind to blow several Wolf Guards who rushed him into the water, barely glancing in their direction as he dealt with the threat “you dare address me with such a tone? Do you have any idea of whom you are speaking to?” the Peacock hissed as he slowly drew another Dagger from his sleeve.

“Only someone beneath my notice” the Rito scoffed back to which Shen fully drew his Dagger and threw it with high speed and accuracy, aiming for Revali’s head only for the Rito to turn to the side to avoid it, the smirk never leaving his beak as Shen then used his foot Claws to remove a wooden plank to reveal a Guan Dao hidden underneath, the Peacock then kicking it up and out of its hiding spot to wrap his Wing Feathers around it like fingers.

Eyeing the Weapon and Shen Revali’s smirk fell as the Peacock’s stance reminded him a little too much of Link’s whenever the Hylian wielded a Spear, the Rito drawing a Shock Arrow and notching it before taking aim “come along then, show me you’re worth my time!”.

With that Shen kicked off from the floor, leaping into the air in a flurry before diving downwards aiming to impale the Rito to which Revali took to the air away, the gust created by his flapping Wings knocking Shen off target sending the tip of the Guan Dao into the wooden planks of the Barge before firing his Shock Arrow down at the Peacock.

Ripping the Guan Dao from the deck of the Barge Shen backflipped to try to avoid the Arrow, causing it to pierce one of his Tail Feather sending a powerful static shock through him making him stumble as he landed on his feet, the proud Peacock letting out a growl of annoyance as he looked back to see the damage to his Feather, the Arrow jutting through the ‘eye’ pattern ruining its look “you’ll suffer for that!” he exclaimed as he swung his left sleeved arm up towards Revali, throwing three Daggers in a sweeping motion up at him.

Deftly spinning in the air to avoid the Daggers Revali looked down to find Shen stabbing the Guan Dao back into the deck before jumping upon it, pulling the Staff part of it back before releasing it to propel him skyward towards the Rito, drawing a Dagger from each sleeve as he shot through the air, taking Revali off guard enough to land a hit on him as he reached the Rito’s level, slashing across his face to cut his cheek, staining his royal blue feathers crimson and drawing an angered hiss from the Champion.

As Revali recoiled from the cut Shen spread his Wings and Tail Feathers to prevent himself from plummeting as he began to rapidly kick at Revali’s face and upper body, each kick carrying power that such skinny limbs shouldn’t have been able to muster, making the Rito recoil with every kick before Shen delivered one last kick directly to Revali’s chest, sending the larger Bird into a freefall as Shen then threw his Daggers down at the Rito.

As he fell Revali exclaimed in pain as one of the Daggers pierced him in the chest whilst the second soared passed him, missing him by an inch as he spread his Wings and created a gale to stop his descent as he looked up to see Shen plummeting towards him, the Peacock having closed his Tail Feathers to streamline his body to shoot towards his opponent like a Avian Bullet, a Dagger in each ‘hand’ ready to keep attacking.

Not having time to draw another Arrow Revali raised his Bow to block Shen’s attack, furrowing his brow at the sight of the pristine wood of the Great Eagle Bow being stabbed into as both he and Shen began to violently kick at each other as they fell from the sky in a death spiral, their feet Claws violently tearing at each other as they spun faster and faster.

As the water rapidly approached Shen released the Dagger in his right ‘hand’ to unsheath another from his Robes sleeve, a murderous glee in his eyes as he aimed to cut across Revali’s throat only for the Rito to release his Bow, creating enough space between them to reach back and draw another Bomb Arrow, igniting it before holding it between them, making the Peacock’s eyes widen in shock and before he could let out a cry of “you’re mad!” the Arrow detonated.

Propelled downwards by the explosion Shen’s heavily smoking form plunged into the water like a bullet, emerging several seconds with his once pristine feathers blackened and scorched by the explosion, the left side of his face heavily burned with his eye barely open as he gasped for air, desperately clambering onto the remains of one of the Barges that still stayed afloat, dragging himself to sit against the edge as he breathed heavily “my…my feathers…they’ll regrow…just need to rest…recuperate…come back stronger” he told himself, confident that whilst he had survived Revali had been killed by his own explosive.

That was until he was struck in the right Wing by an Ice Arrow, pinning the limb to the side of the Barge before Ice engulfed the entire Wing, making him gasp in pain as Revali came to land at the other side of the Barge, the Rito dusting the ash off from his feathers showing that he had taken the blast far better than Shen ever hoped to, even taking the time to catch his Bow before landing, the sheer look of regality and calmness upon Revali’s features drawing a gasp from Lord Shen “you…the Knight of Courage”.

In response to his words Shen received an Arrow to the stomach, making him wheeze and cough up blood as a hateful glare soured Revali’s features “I will not be compared to others! ESPECIALLY HIM!” he proclaimed as he strode forward and raised his foot to violently kick the Arrow deeper into Shen’s abdomen until it protruded out of his back and stabbed into the wood behind him effectively pinning him in place.

Letting out a disdainful scoff Revali then turned his back on Shen before spreading his Wings to take the the sky again, rocking the Barge from the sheer force of the gale created as Shen weakly watched Revali shoot into the air before turning and drawing his Bow, notching a Bomb Arrow and firing it towards the fallen Peacock, the Arrow seeming to move in slow motion as Shen came to terms with his defeat, refusing to lower himself to begging or trying to crawl away as he simply closed his eyes, going up in the explosion as the Bomb Arrow struck him dead centre, destroying the Barge along with him as Revali simply flew back to the Village not even giving the Peacock the courtesy of a backwards glance.

Winner: Revali

God this battle left a bad taste in my mouth, not because I believed for one moment that Lord Shen would win but for the fact that I FUCKING DESPISE REVALI.

But aside from that, why does Revali defeat Lord Shen?

Well in every way save for martial arts skill Revali simply dominates Lord Shen, the arrogant Rito is stronger, far more durable and faster to the point that it would be a miracle if the Peacock even laid eyes upon him before he was struck by a rain of Arrows.

Meaning my favourite Kung Fu Panda villain unfortunately gets destroyed by my most hated Legend of Zelda character.
