Pretty Cure TSKC Episode 3

Hello Everyone,sorry I didn't get this episode up sooner but I've just been swamped with work lately,but hey,things are better now.

So alright,here goes,Episode 3!

"And in furthur news,officials are still skeptical of last week's strange events in which,we are not making this up either, a
giant armored toy horse rampaged through downtown England,causing considerable property damage,luckily no civilians
were hurt,however,whether there is little to go on due to the fact that all the damage done has mysteriously fixed itself,we'll bring you more
news as this story develops,we also have gotten word of a metallic being who fought the-"

"Boring-dani." exclaimed Danish before changing the channel.

James shot up from his place on the couch and growled. "Hey! I was watching that!"

The little bear stuck his tongue out at him. "Why do we need to watch something we already know about-dani?"

James sighed. "Uh,because I wanna know that this stuff is actually happening?"

Cherry spoke up from beside him. "Aren't we all the proof you need-cherri?"

The young man sweat-dropped and folded his arms in defeat. "Alright,you got me there,but Danish,ask me next time you wanna change the channel,okay?"

His partner nodded and turned away. "Yeah,yeah." He grabbed a handful of chips and began channel-surfing.

It had only been a couple days since Danish and Cherry had moved in with James but they were
already acting like they owned the place,well, Danish did anyways,spending all his time channel-surfing and eating.

Cherry wasn't as bad but she was..rather talkative,she was constantly asking stuff about Earth. Like right now,"Hey James,what's these-cherri?" She motioned to some grapes.

"Those are grapes." He replied, The bunny's eyes widened as did her mouth. "That's amazing-cherri,what's this?" She pointed at a book.

James groaned. "It' s a book,you read it." Cherry gasped. "Humans read books too-cherri?" She grabbed it,along with some grapes,and settled down to read.

The young man smacked his hand to his forehead. Now I know how the other Cures feel,taking care of these guys.

At that moment,the phone rang,he reached over and picked up the receiver. "Hello? You reached the White's residence,we're not home right now but please leave a message after the snore." He did the imitation of a snore,making the male voice on the other end chuckle.

"Oh James,you're a kidder,ain't ya?" It was Mr Collings."So,how ya been?" The young man replied. "Doing fine,you?" "Good,sorry I didn't
call ya sooner but I've been out of town for a while. Now,I suppose ya wanna know if you got the job.."

James listened intently as the mascots watched him,curious. Finally,he hung up. "Well guys..." He waited for a few moments,to create suspense,then smiled.

"I got the job!" The mascots jumped in the air and cried out. "Yayyy!" James cried out. "Quiet,please!"

(Opening: Neverending Legend! Our Silver Knight!)

"Oh? You got the job?" exclaimed James mom as he helped dry the dishes from dinner.
He had just finished telling her about the phone call he'd gotten earlier that day.

For some reason,he could tell she was not as excited as he'd hoped. "Yeah,I got it," The
young man turned to her. "Is something wrong? You seem rather surprised."

Cathy just smiled. "Oh no,I'm happy you got the job,I really am,it's just," She wiped her hands dry from the water.
"We only moved here and already you want to jump into a job, and get into the real world,you kids grow up so fast.."

James smiled and shook his head. "Cathy,I'll be okay,I'm not a little kid anymore,besides,I knows
how the real world works..to an extent."

His mom patted him on the shoulder. "I understand,but just remember,you'll always be my little boy,no
matter how old you get,and never forget, you don't always have to do stuff you don't like,it's your life."

The young man wasn't too sure of that but he nodded. "Right." She then asked. "When do ya start?"

"Tomorrow." he replied. Cathy nodded. "Alright,now don't stay up too late,you got a big day tomorrow."

With that,she walked off to do her knitting.

Today's Episode: James New Job! Cooking Is A Real Blast!

--------------------

Within the halls of the mysterious Nexus castle,a certain tan-skinned muscle man
was pumping iron,or working out to be more precise.

Lifting weights,running on the treadmill,powering away at the bike,and
of course,downing energy shakes. Today's special, Eggs with tomato,
Banana, Carrot and Broccoli. Yeah,try getting all that in a blender,mixing it together
AND drinking it.

One would wonder why he was working so hard. Well,to give the short version,Brawns
did not take his defeat at Genesis hands lightly,infact he was going to do everything within his power
to best him,and that involved working out,a lot.

It was during his break that he got a visitor. "Hey there,Gravel Man."

The Earth warrior turned to the gym's entrance and there stood Yami who,as usual, had that
self-confident smirk on his face while leaning against the doorway.

Brawns narrowed his eyes at him. "Yami,what are you doing here?"

Yami shrugged. "I was just about to ask you the same thing."

The taller man growled at him."For your information, I'm training for my
upcoming fight against Genesis."

Yami rolled his eyes. "Still having trouble with that guy? Really Brawns,I thought you were made of sterner stuff."

Brawns stared coldly at him. "Not for long,next time I face him,I'm gonna clobber him!" He flexed his muscles. "See?"

The Dark Boy simply smiled at his stupidity. It was then the Master's voice cried. "Brawns! Come at once!"
Yami turned to go. "Well,let's just see how ya do this time.." He walked off into the shadows.

"Hmph," grunted Brawns before vanishing through a pillar of sand and reappearing in the Grand Master's throne room,he kneeled.

"My lord,you summoned me?" The Grand Master snapped. "Don't waste my time with pleasantries, Tell me now why you
still do not possess the Rainbow Stars!"

Brawns cringed at his boss' tone. "My master,I'm very sorry to have displeased you,I have no excuses
to cover up my failure,the only thing I can say is that I..underestimated the Silver Knight."

His lord slammed a fist down on the armchair and roared. "You underestimated him? A true Nexus Warrior never
does such a foolish and unforgivable thing!"

The Master breathed deeply and calmed himself down. "You are very lucky that you're still needed,otherwise..well,you knows
what happens to those I no longer have use for."

Brawns nodded nervously. "Yes..but please Grand Master,let me try once again,I promise this time will be different!"

His lord was silent for a few moments then spoke. "Give me one good reason why I should."

The warrior thought hard. What could he say? The Warrior's Mantle flashed through his mind. He looked up. "Because Master,I know what the source of the Silver Knight's power is!"

Grand Master leaned forward. "Oh? And what might that be?" Brawns started. "He..has this belt,he transforms with it,yes.."

He rose a clenched fist. "If I get it,he'll be powerless,the Garden Of Life will no longer be protected and the Rainbow Stars will be easy-picking."

The demonic being sat back n his throne,thinking,finally. "Very well,proceed."

His servant bowed. "Thank you,my lord." He turned to go but the master called once more. "Don't fail me this time!" Brawns nodded.

"I shall not fail you my master."

"Alright,guys,you stay inside the belt until I tell you it's safe to come out,okay?" James exclaimed as he stood outside the cafe.

Danish folded his little arms and pouted. "Hmph,why can't me and Cherry go walk around town-dani? It's a nice day?"
He motioned to the cloudy yet sunny sky and the cool breeze all about them.

James took a breath of it. "Ahh,yeah,the air is good..but I can't take that risk,you know that,if anyone besides me knew you existed..."

Cherry sighed. "Our mission would be over before it even really begins-cherri." She took Danish's paw. "We have to-cherri."

Danish growled. "You're gonna owe me one for this,kid-dani." James chuckled. "I'll make it up to you in cookies,now let' s go."

They glowed and changed into orbs that shot into his belt's core,he hid it from view and opened the door that led inside.

A bell jingled overhead,announcing Mr Collings,he looked up. "Oh James! You're early!"

James nodded. "Well yeah,I didn't wanna give a bad impression on my first day."

Mr Collings smiled to himself,now here was a young man who looked ready to be productive. "Good to hear,"
He tossed James a SunnySide Cafe apron. "Put that on and follow me in back."

James did so and let his new boss lead him behind the counter and through a doorway.
In back,he saw a very familiar girl,same ink blue hair still in a ponytail but instead of a uniform she had on a
grey sweatshirt with black cargo pants and was wearing the same apron as James.

"Lila,I'd like to introduce,or reintroduce you, to James,James,this is my daughter,Lila."

He expected them to shake hands but she just wiped her hands on her apron while scowling.

"Dad,are you really going to let him work here?" Her father frowned. "Now dear,we've talked about this
already,things are much too hard for just us alone so you show some respect to James,got it?"

Lila sighed. "Whatever." She walked off.

James turned to Mr Collings. "Friendly Girl you got there." He meant it sarcastically.

The girl's father shook his head. "Please,don't think too harshly of her,she's..had some rough relations with boys."

"So that's why she's so mean-dani." whispered Danish. "Eh? You say something?" asked Mr Collings.

The young man shook his head and smiled. "Nah,I just sometimes like talking to myself."

Mr Collings chuckled. "Hehe,yeah,you wouldn't be the first person I met who did that."

He showed James around,where he be working,where what ingredients were put up
then let him be. James got right to work,for the first part of the day not much happened.
Some customers came and went and James cooked for them.

Mr Collings,who'd forgotten to ask James how he learn to cook,asked him. The young cook
simply said he'd learn from someone dear and close to him. That solved that mystery,if it even
could be considered one.

He found out first hand this cafe wasn't just for sandwiches,there were noodles,curry,roast beef,
fish and chips and other such goods to make. Lila would take the orders and give them to James,
avoiding his glances,and he'd cook then pass it out.

But as the day wore on,fewer and fewer people came,he also noticed some of them looked..unhappy,
not as satisfied as earlier in the day,this worried him. That would had to wait cause it was lunch time
and he was gonna try to talk with Lila,TRY being the key word.

"Hey,Lila?" she ignored him and shuffled away.

He groaned but pushed on. "Look,your father told me about-"

She snapped. "Forget what my father said and just do your job!"

James was now really tired of her rudeness,even Cherry seemed to be upset.
"I know I'm a lady James but I'm really getting tired of her attitude-cherri." "Me too-dani." hissed Danish.

The young man finished his lunch and spoke again. "Lila,I just want you to know..whatever
problems you've had with people in the past,you ain't gonna have it with me."

Lila looked at him with a puzzled look then got up. "It's time for us to go back to work."

As the day wore on fewer and fewer people came,however,James didn't
get another chance to talk to Lila,she continued to be cold and distant.

Finally,Mr Collings let them retire. "Alright,great job you guys,especially you James, pack it up for the night."

His daughter sighed in relief,took off her apron,and headed up to her apartment.
James was about to go home when he noticed Mr Collings sitting at a table,a
solemn expression etched on his face,like he was deep in thought.

"Hey,you okay Mr Collings?" The older man looked up. "Oh James,you're still here,I thought ya be on your way by now."

The boy shrugged. "Eh,you just look real down in the dumps,so I know something's on your mind."

His boss nodded.. "You're pretty perceptive,well to be honest,I'm thinking,about the cafe,"

Mr Collings sighed. "Well,you see, my family's owned this cafe for a very
long time, I inherited it from my uncle who inherited it from his uncle,back then
a cafe was a place where people could go to have a meal,or snack. Just
talk and unwind, get away from everyday things.."

During his little speech,he seemed to be staring off,like he was remembering a time gone by.

"But the world's changed so much,kids these days eat food on the go,
their always rushing everywhere,and there's all these new gizmos to
take up their time.."

He chuckled emptily. "I know, I sound like one of those old kooks who spends
all day ranting on about stuff that's not going their way,eh?"

James shook his head. "No,you sound like a man who's got a passion,a love
of simpler things,and I like that,but the world's not exactly all roses and
butterflies so we folks gotta get by as best we can."

Mr Collings laid back in his chair. "Maybe..James,you should get on home,I'll see ya tomorrow."

Brawns stood on a nearby rooftop,scanning the neighborhood for any sign of his enemy.

"Alright kid,where are you?" It was then he saw the young man walking down the sunset-lit
street,hands in pockets with those little critters on his shoulders,chatting up a storm.

The warrior grinned. "Excellent,now.." He was about to jump off the rooftop but stopped himself.

"No,no,that's too obvious,he'll be expecting the direct approach," Brawns rubbed his chin and thought.

"Come on, think Brawns! What can you do? You gotta get that belt,or else.." He shuddered
to think what would happen..then it hit him!

"Of course, that boy's got friends,if I can catch even one of them.." He smirked. "Then he or she would
make a wonderful bargaining chip."

The Earth Mover gleefully rubbed his hands together and turned to go but he tripped and
promptly fell off the rooftop, into some conveniently placed bushes.

"Owww..."

As Danish and Cherry had their snack of cookies up in James room he talked with his dad.

"So buddy,seems like your day went well,for the most part."

James nodded. "I'm a little worried about Mr Collings though,his business doesn't
seem to be doing the best," He put his elbows on the table and frowned.

"I wish there was something I could do to help him."

Dave,noticing his son was troubled, put down his newspaper and clasped his hands.
"Well,if you feel that strongly about giving a hand,maybe you could put up some flyers
around town,that way you might attract more people."

The boy looked up at his father."Eh? Anything else?"

His father smiled. "You're a clever boy,you'll think of something else."

James nodded in acceptance and jumped to his feet. "Thanks Dave." He ran off upstairs.

Dave smiled and picked up his paper. "My boy,always thinking of others."

"What's ya doing-dani?" asked Danish to James,who was doing something on his laptop.

James ignored him and hit print. From the printer came multiple
colored sheets depicting the cafe's logo and info on where to find it.
nodding in approval,he stacked them together in a pile.

Now,he replied. "I'm gonna help out Mr Collings."

(Eyecatch 1: James is mixing something in a bowl and the mascots are watching,he shows it to the camera and the series logo is floating in it)

(Eyecatch 2: James spins around and transforms into Genesis only for Danish and Cherry to tackle him,he lands face down as the mascots hold up a sign depicting the series logo)

"Eh? Ya wanna do what?" exclaimed Lila's father in surprise. James had just
arrived to work and finished explaining his idea to help the business.

The boy nodded. "Let's add some new ideas to the menu,like make-your-own-sandwich,
spicy chicken noodles,oh,and maybe put some desserts on the menu," he smiled. "People
usually like to top off their meal with a tasty treat." With a flourish he pulled out the flyers.

"Look,I already made these up,we can stick them around town and attract more business,well,what ya say?"

Mr Collings thought over this for a moment. "You know,I never asked ya to do this..are you just doing this
to make yourself look good?"

James put on an insulted look. "No! I just did this..well.." He looked down. "I only wanted to help you,ya looked
so sad about your business so..I thought I'd be here for you."

His boss,a little surprised by his words,nodded. "Alright,we'll do it!"

And that's what they did,even Lila,with a little coaxing,helped out.
After setting up the menu and flyers they got to work cooking,soon,people
were attracted by the smells and started showing up.

It was a real smash! The  customers enjoyed the new menu choices,even
some of Lila's schoolmates showed up to say hi..and eat some banana cream pie.
The place was booming more than usual.

"Ya gotta hand it to the kid,Lila,he's only been here a
day and already this joint is jumping." Mr Collings beamed as he looked around.

Lila nodded. "Yeah, I was actually starting to think this place didn't have a hope
but now.." A small smile graced her lips,"Well,maybe this James guy.."

He patted her on the shoulder. "Yeah,maybe he can."

James heard the chatter and smiled as well. "There is always hope if you believe there is-cherri,Elder taught us that-cherri." said Cherry.

Later that evening,Lila was out for a stroll when a male voice called.

"Excuse me,Miss?"

She spun around to see a blond-haired,tan-skinned man in a navy blue suit standing there with a smirk.

Lila got a creepy vibe from him but decided to speak. "Y-Yes, can I help you?"

His smirk grew as he approached and towered over her. "As a matter of fact, you can." He rose
a handful of sand and blew it on her,she blinked.

"Wow,getting kinda drowsy.." The Earth Warrior caught her as she fell then chuckled.

"Perfect,now to wait for that boy to come running..."

James hummed to himself as he finished wiping clean the tables. "Alright Mr Collings,I'm out of here."

"Ok James,thanks for everything." called the old man as James left.

He walked up the street but then Danish and Cherry popped out.

"James!" cried Danish. "What?" he exclaimed.

"I feel an evil presence near-cherri." cried the white bunny.

The young man looked around only to hear a familiar voice. "Hello again,Genesis." He spun around and there stood his foe.

"Nexus!" cried the mascots. "Brawns.." said James with a snarl. The warrior grinned an evil grin.

"So,you remember my name,I'm touched." He pulled Lila's semi-conscious self from behind him. "You know her?"

The young man gasped. "Lila!" "So that's her name,LIla.." Brawns relished James shock then spoke. "You want her back? Let's make a deal.."

"We'll never make a deal with you creeps-dani!" cried Danish in defiance who made a face at him.

Brawns laughed. "HAHA! I wouldn't be so bold if I were you,you don't listen..and your girl here might have to suffer..."
James looked down at the road. "What's the deal?"

His enemy nodded. "Good,the deal is this,hand over the Warrior's Mantle and Lila here goes free."

"Don't do it-cherri." begged Cherry. The young man sighed. "..Okay," he reached behind and undid the belt. "You can't-dani!" roared Danish.
"I must," argued James."It's for her sake." As he held out the belt,he asked. "The moment you lay a hand down,you let go of her,right?"

Brawns growled. "Of course,now gimme." He laid a hand on it then shoved Lila into James open arm. "At last!" But then the belt's
core glowed."What?" t sent out a burst of silvery light that blinded Brawns and everyone else.

When it settled,James noticed the Mantle was back around his waist. "Whoa.." "Could that be..a defense-dani?" muttered Danish.

Lila stirred. "Ooh..James? What's going on?" He placed her against a brick wall. "Just stay right here,
everything's gonna be fine."

He spun around,a fierce look in his eyes. "Brawns! How dare you use an innocent girl like that?"

The Earth Warrior recovered and roared. "I will do what it takes to defeat you!" A pillar of sand shot up around him
and formed into his rock armour.

"Let's go,you guys." James cried as his partners jumped aboard. "Awaken,Genesis!" A wave of silvery flame spread over his body forming
into the Silver Knight's armor.

"Zetsobana! Unleash Your Fury!" Brawns threw the orb onto a mailbox,it grew many times its size
and the stubby legs extended to that of tree trunks,a pair of eyes opened as did the core eye.

It rose a leg and brought it down,Genesis sprang backward but Brawns charged with a right hook
that connected with his torso,the blow sent him skidding back along the ground. He dashed along
the road then leapt toward the monster but it simply swiped him aside.

The mailbox opened spitting out a barrage of envelopes,he put up a barrier making them explode on
impact. Lila watched from afar,in total denial. "James..."

Brawns jumped above him and came down with a kick,breaking the barrier,he lashed out with another fist
but Genesis crossed his arms,the force sent him back a little. The knight lashed back with a flurry of
punches,Brawns deflected them. "Hiyaa!" Genesis leapt up and planted a dropkick in his torso knocking
him to the ground.

The Zetsobana lifted another leg and brought it down,the hero evaded it then leapt up on the leg and
jumped again toward the main eye,while rearing back his fist. Putting in some effort he plowed it into
the creature's eye making it stumble around.

It retaliated with more exploding envelopes which Genesis couldn't deflect and was blasted down into
the pavement. "James-cherri!" cried Cherry. "Don't give up-dani." encouraged Danish.

Genesis struggled to his feet as the beast launched another barrage,he
ran forward and toward its legs,when close enough he plowed a fist into
each one making the whole thing fumble and fall,he then jumped up to the
head and proceeded to pound it.

After several whacks the Zetsobana shook him off and got back up,only it began to look dizzy.

"It's weakening-dani." said Danish. "Now's your chance-cherri." exclaimed Cherry.

The warrior nodded and reared back as the Genesis symbol materialized beneath him.
"Now,return to oblivion!" He charged forward kicking up silvery flames in his wake.

"Pretty Cure.." leapt up high. "Genesis.." And came down. "Meteor!" The kick collided with the monster's eye,cracking it,he
landed on the ground with his back facing it and the Zetsobana exploded,leaving behind a normal mailbox,even Brawns
was caught in the blast and slammed into the road. "Agghhh.."

Genesis stood before him and growled. "Get out of here, and don't ever bother Lila again."

Brawns,knowing he was beaten, shot back. "You win..for now, but don't think this is over!" He vanished in a whirl of sand.

James changed back and walked over  to Lila,he reached out a hand. "Hey, you alright?"

She looked at his hand,then his smiling face,frowned and slapped it aside. "Get away from me,you freak!

He took a step back as she got up. "Lila..but I.." She snapped. "Save it! You..you're no better than those things on the news!"

Lila backed away a step as he tried to console her. "Lila,please, give me a chance to explain.."

She shook her head. "To think..I was beginning to trust you!" With that,she spun around and ran off into the night.

The young man watched her go,still not believing what happened, then slumped to the sidewalk,
his partners jumped out and pulled on his pants legs. "James..let's go back-cherri." said Cherry
in a worried tone.

He nodded, picked them up and headed on the road back home.

Nick: Wow,what's happening here?
James: Eh,just got into a fight.
Nick: Oh,hey who's the cutie?
James: You're asking me.
Lila: Ahh! What's with this windstorm?
James: It must be that girl..Lila,even if you hate me, I'll protect you!

Well, bet you didn't see that twist coming. What will happen to James and Lila's relationship?
Can they patch things up in time to deal with Nexus new warrior? You'll just have to stay tuned to find out!
