Darkest hour

So I was finally able to finish that sketch I showed to you two months ago and actually went little bit different way than usual. With that I mean, I did not use ink at all in this. Only my watercolor crayons/pencils. It was little painful to color whole work while using made shift light table, but the end result, looks really nice. Little bit like from a children's book? But not going to use this that often because of how long it took. My eyes were in so much pain. XD 

So I think I promised to tell you something about this scene? Maybe someone asked why would poor Grillby be so sad?  
So here we go!
The idea behind this work was from my AU, not long after monsters were sealed underground (I tried to get the same colors as in the ruins) and time when Gaster and Grillby properly met up. (There is hard to change greetings when humans are trying to kill you) I have ideas about elementals and how they exist, the usual reproducing method and summoning. In summoning, elemental's consciousness grows lot slower and should give time to develop if the elemental is meant to exist more than few days. During war this rule might have been overlooked, ending to monster have mentally traumatized elementals who start to understand morals and all that nice stuff. 
So because of that, poor Grillby can have some serious panic attacks which can turn hazardous for others around him if things escalate too far. But Gaster is there so things are not that bad. Right? ^^'

But speaking of Grillby, I really like how I got his "tears" done. I have some sort of color palette what each colors represents so... just fan fact. :3
