Return of the serpent queenA heavy black suitcase slammed the young lady's bed with a thud!. At the still-young age of twenty, Kuro had just returned from her trip to Egypt. No matter how much her family had tried to talk her out of it, the trip was a joint effort between her and her friend Sarah, and nothing could have changed her mind.
Besides, even though half of her souvenirs had to be mailed specially (customs certainly wouldn't allow such fine things through!), seeing the Sphinx, the Great Pyramids at Giza, and a real open-air market had made the trip well worth the money.
Despite the pleasure, however, only two words that could summarize Kuro's mental state at the moment: Jet lagged. She ruffled her dark blond hair a little; the sun in Egypt had made it a few shades lighter, but it still wasn't quite the Valley Girl bleach blond. Though she had a sizable chest and nice legs, she fit the stereotype of 'female, not feminine' most of the time.
It had been slightly irksome to the natives, who were used t
Night WishNight Wish - Night Fury TF
It was a cold, wet afternoon in a small town in England. The typical British weather was in full effect right now, and most of the people had taken refuge in their houses, with a few heading out with umbrellas, needing to get their daily tasks done.
Peter was among those people.
He wouldn't have left his warm comfy armchair in front of the fireplace in a day like that if it wasn't for the fact that the local Gamestop just got a few hundred copies of a game he really wanted to get, and although he did preorder it, considering the amount of people who did the same he really wanted to make sure he could snatch a copy as soon as possible.
He tried not to run as he made his way to the store, mostly to avoid breaking the umbrella's protection, but also because the pavement was slippery, and falling only to get splashed by a car driving by wasn't something he really wanted to experience again.
He was only a few hundred feet away from the store when for some reason h
Beautiful WaspA young man turned on the power of the Nintendo 3DS he spent so much money to own. The title screen appeared, the main menu showcased all the games he purchased online, and with the stylus he selected a cheery game: Kirby Triple Deluxe. Sure he completed the game many times even going as far to earn that one hundred percent and wasting many hours just to reach the true final boss. His life is somewhat normal; if normalcy consists of living with a divorced father and having to work at such a young age to pay his tuition. He's usually shy around people he doesn't know, mostly girls, because he's rather nervous when he's approaching one. His online activity mostly includes: being on art sites that have fans of all kinds of media draw artwork of their favorite series, watching videos on a social media site disguised as a video sharing site, and watching video game let's plays. Considering he's playing a Kirby game, he's not too big of a fan. He isn
Job Fair - A Bustimus Saga StoryJob Fair
It was a brisk morning in Los Angeles, and the first round of classes at Taft Junior College had just ended. Students poured out of the classrooms and began making their way up and down the main walkway like cars in traffic. Some students headed home, to their next class, to meet up with friends, or to the library to either type up a paper, play games or study.
The day would have been as simple as that, but there was something new that piqued the interest of the students and faculty.
There was a job fair, with tents from various companies set up in the small field that lay across the walkway from the library. Those who were interest in – or even desperate for – an internship or job application crowded the small field.
All of the usual suspects were there: McDonalds, various local law firms, a mattress store or two, and a few other companies that none of the students had ever hear
New Home - A Bustimus Story
As a Bustimus was walking down the sidewalk with a homeless woman, a Toyota Prius stopped by them. The driver threw a burger smashed against the former's head.
"Fucking whore!!" the culprit shouted as he sped away in his car.
The Bustimus ignored both the man's vulgar language and the burger, the remnants of which slid down its face. It continued on it's path towards the HELP (Health Evaluation and Lodge Providing) Center. The homeless woman next to it was its latest client.
"Damn kids," the woman said, shooting a nasty look at the car that was already half a mile away. "God gives them a miracle and they flip both their middle fingers at Him like they don't give a fuck about their future."
There will always be intelligent beings that will not accept offered help, the Bustimus said to the woman telepathically, even if they are obvious. With your species, it is an inevitability.
