"Game Master dit GM" is a near-future science-fiction story of epic proportions.

At the beginning of the new millennium, in a world very similar to ours, a very powerful group of people decided to create their own private army in order to maintain their privileges at any costs. That secret organization called the "Base", should have become the fundamental piece of a plan that would have enabled them to consolidate their power for a long time. Unfortunately malicious and determined enemies took away its technologies, as well as its immense influence, and turned them against it... Opening the way for a merciless shadow war.

The story of "Game Master dit GM" explores this theses times of change and instability through the eyes of members of the "MX SQUAD". This small team must identify and neutralize all those who use the technologies of the Base without authorization... A huge task for such a small team. A task that will force them to see far beyond what things seem to be, and make choices that will lead them into unforeseen territories : Beyond their craziest dreams and their worst nightmares.

The main quality of Glatz is his determination. A determination inspired by modern heroes like Bruce Lee, Mohamed Ali, Michael Jackson : Men who wanted push their limits, sometimes exposing themselves to great dangers. His perseverance could lead quite far, as it is the case with other children of the Base, but he doesn't seem to be interested in a prestigious career (he recently decided to slow down to better organize his life).
The opportunity to create the MX SQUAD came up after an operation that the Base considers a reversal (but not as a total failure)... A team that is actually a hideout for agents in disgrace, who thereby avoid the dishonor of demotion.

Anissa is a living proof that the Base is an uncommon mercenary society, where some agents may inherit the prestige of their parents. Unlike Glatz and Aritz who live in the Base since their birth (and have no escape), Anissa had the opportunity to join it because her parents work for the Base for quite some time (mostly in Arab countries). If the scions can integrate the Base more easily, work and talent are the best ways to advance within the organization.

Aritz is often regarded as a loner by those who do not know him very well : A loner who takes things too seriously. And his habit to check several times the details of an operation doesn't help much. But what people ignore is that he really actually enjoy doing a "perfect job" (because for him it's some kind of permanent test).
Over time, he adopted this mindset because he knows that in the end he will always have to face his responsibilities alone. Ryo Beo could be is real name... In general, the agents of the Base choose their alias when they begin to accept missions that could change their life forever.
He considers himself an "apprentice", whose role is mainly to ensure that nothing disturbs the hard work of the team. And it is a critical role, because it's often at the last minute you can detect your enemies' traps. On that point, nobody in the team consider him as a supporting characters, as it would be the case in a bigger team (or a more rigid organization) : We can even say that he's one of the MX SQUAD's founding members.

Before becoming an agent of the base, James Nauman was a normal soldier in a normal army. It did not take him long to understand that a normal army wasn't adapted to such a chaotic world. Unfortunately, he arrived at the Base before it implement some kind of moral principles : So he became a mere mercenary and slowly abandoned his dreams of justice.
Agents like Nauman are always useful when it's necessary "to solve a case quickly", when things are unreasonably blocked or a target isn't quite cooperative. Such a job necessarily makes them the black sheep in the eyes of those who use more "sophisticated" methods : Because since the Base does everything to no longer behaved like a criminal organization, that kind of work only involve about a hundred of agents (officially)..

Magicians live in a world which is difficult to distinguish the outlines. A world that most people don't even bother understand, while it's the only way to access it. And once cut from that part of ourselves, our ignorance becomes their strength.
Magic met science by the end of the 20th century, because some people were brave enough to cross the ocean of incomprehension that separates the two disciplines. As it was the case of some secret societies for whom it was always important to move forward. After all, if magicians had as much resources as major pharmaceutical companies, they would certainly be at the cutting edge of innovation.

The main characters in this story will have to go through many challenges : Track elusive opponents, get used to a world where magic becomes a science, finding reliable allies. But that's certainly what makes them so untypical, because despite its modernity, the Base still applies the rule of 80/20 : It spends 80% of its time and resources doing things it knows best, and less than 20% for new ideas and experiments.
Their story will show that despite the rigidness of the system, it's always possible to think outside of the box... Even if it is very difficult, it's possible to stand out if you have enough determination.
Empower the people and projects that have the same ideas is always a bigger treat on the long term : Because the system inevitably goes mad when everyone starts to think in the same way.

EDIT 2016 : Game Master dit GM is Back !


PAST EDIT : hum... this is annoying, I have to manage a project with the same infrastructure that I'll use for GM website. I don't know how much time it will take, but I hope "not to long".
Working on it will also be be a good playground : GM won't be my first webcomic project, but without doubts I'll learn lots of interesting things for the future .

I'll give more infos about the Game Master dit GM REBOOT in a few weeks. What you need to know : well, this is a webcomic project with Creative Commons BY-NC-SA license + custom commercial license. The project is quite big as it include cutting edge technologies, paid artists, translations since the beginning.

The objective for now is to clean up everything, so it can run smoothly when ready... that's why you don't see anything here :lol:

Every owner of an artwork related to the story "Game Master dit GM®" who wants to commercialize it, must register it to GMTANK.net and accept the terms of use of the service.
GMTANK.net is the service that assigns commercial licenses to quality artworks related to the story "Game Master dit GM®". The service is used to reference and archive licensed artworks, but also to link the "Creative Commons BY-NC-SA" versions of the artwork and the commercial versions.

Provided that the artwork has never been published in a form that could compromise its commercial exploitation, gmgmdesign (original author of Game Master dit GM®) and ZeFish Virtual Machine (publisher of Game Master dit GM® website) grant its owner a non-exclusive and non-transferable commercial license for the artwork registered on GMTANK.net.
ZeFish Virtual Machine is aware that the use of certain file formats can unintentionally facilitate the extraction of the original artwork, but the owner of the artwork is strongly encouraged to think before publishing anything under the Creative Commons license "BY-NC-SA" (non-revocable license).


1)

This License allows you to obtain rights beyond the Creative Commons "BY-NC-SA" license which normally applies to all derivative works based on "Game Master dit GM®".
The artist (or different authors) states that he provided accurate and up to date informations to the GMTANK. If several co-authors participated in the creation of an artwork, they indicate they agreed the future distribution of royalties, the publication date and places where the work will be commercialized : A distribution of royalties that couldn't be subsequently amended without the consent of all co-authors.

ZeFish Virtual Machine allows the owner(s) of an artwork which have a license to commercialize it anywhere in the world, in any medium known or unknown to date.

The owner(s) may modify the original artwork at any time, but the changes may cause the revocation of the license. When in doubt, the owner of the artwork can always contact ZeFish Virtual Machine to find out whether any major changes may lead to the revocation of the license.


2)

The owner(s) of an artwork which have a license states on his honor that the artwork is original, and if any material protected by copyright are included, it is with the explicit permission of copyright holders.
The owner(s) of the artwork claim to be able to list all material protected by copyright that are included in it. That list may appear on GMTANK.net upon request of copyright holders, or artwork's owner.


3)

The owner(s) of an artwork which have a license authorize ZeFish Virtual Machine to reproduce, store, archive, reference and collect metadata from the original artwork in any medium known or unknown to date.
The GMTANK.net service is provided "as available" and ZeFish Virtual Machine reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the service at any time in its sole discretion.


4)

The owner(s) of an artwork which have a license remain holders of copyrights and moral rights which protect the artwork, but allow other artists, authors or translators to adapt or modify it within the Game Master dit GM® project.
That authorization will be automatically canceled in case of obvious plagiarism or if the derivative artworks harm the honor or reputation of the original author.


5) LIMITATION OF LIABILITY


ZeFish Virtual Machine may under no way be held responsible for direct damages, indirect damages, punitive or exemplary for the damage resulting from the current license or use of the artwork.


6) TERMINATION


By submitting an artwork to the GMTANK, you understand that its license may be canceled at any time, for reasons independent from the control of ZeFish Virtual Machine or members of the Game Master dit GM® project.

In the absence of agreement between a brand and the Game Master dit GM® project, the trademark owner may at any time request not to appear in an artwork. ZeFish Virtual Machine will make the artwork inaccessible to the public within seven days, but won't automatically cancel its license. The work will be accessible and marketable once again if the owner decides to modify it.

Any violation of the conditions stipulated in the license will automatically results in its termination.
ZeFish Virtual Machine will cancel all licenses granted to any individual or group involved in any activity that may harm the reputation of Game Master dit GM® project or its members. ZeFish Virtual Machine reserves the right under certain extreme circumstances to create a black list of individuals to whom the commercial license will be automatically refused for a period of 5 years.

En cas de doute, le propriétaire de l'œuvre peut à tout moment contacter ZeFish Virtual Machine pour savoir si des modifications majeures peuvent entraîner la révocation de la licence.

Le ou les propriétaires d'une œuvre disposant d'une licence déclarent sur l'honneur que cette œuvre est originale, et que si des éléments protégés par des droits d'auteur y sont inclus, c'est avec la permission explicite du ou des détenteurs des droits d’auteur.
Le ou les propriétaires de l'œuvre déclarent être en mesure de lister l'intégralité des éléments protégés par des droits d'auteur qui y sont inclus. Cette liste pourra apparaître sur GMTANK.net à la demande des détenteurs des droits d’auteur, ou du propriétaire de l'œuvre.


3)

Le ou les propriétaires d'une œuvre disposant d'une licence autorisent ZeFish Virtual Machine à reproduire, sauvegarder, archiver, référencer et recueillir les métadonnées de l'œuvre originale sur tout support connu ou inconnu à ce jour.
Le service GMTANK.net est fourni "tels que disponibles" et ZeFish Virtual Machine réserve le droit de modifier, suspendre ou d'interrompre le service, à tout moment et à sa seule discrétion.


4)

Le ou les propriétaires d'une œuvre disposant d'une licence restent titulaires des droits d’auteur et des droits moraux qui protègent cette œuvre, mais autorisent d'autres artistes, auteurs ou traducteurs à adapter ou modifier l'œuvre dans le cadre du projet Game Master dit GM®.
Cette autorisation sera automatiquement annulée en cas de plagiat manifeste ou si les œuvres dérivées nuisent à l'honneur ou à la réputation de l'auteur original.


5) LIMITATION DE LA RESPONSABILITÉ


ZeFish Virtual Machine ne pourra en aucun cas être tenu pour responsable des dommages-intérêts particuliers directs, indirects, punitifs ou exemplaires, pour le préjudice résultant de la présente licence ou de l’utilisation de l’œuvre.


6) RÉSILIATION


En soumettant une œuvre au GMTANK, vous comprenez que sa licence peut à tout moment être annulée, pour des raisons indépendantes de la volonté de ZeFish Virtual Machine ou des membres du projet Game Master dit GM®.

En l'absence de contrat entre une marque et le projet Game Master dit GM®, le propriétaire de la marque peut à tout moment demander à ne plus apparaître dans une œuvre. ZeFish Virtual Machine rendra l'œuvre inaccessible au public dans un délai de 7 jours, mais n'annulera pas automatiquement sa licence : L'œuvre sera à nouveau accessible et commercialisable si son propriétaire décide la modifier.

Tout manquement aux conditions stipulées de la présente licence entraînera automatiquement la résiliation de cette licence.
ZeFish Virtual Machine annulera toutes les licences d'une personne ou d'un groupe impliqué dans toute activité pouvant nuire à la réputation du projet Game Master dit GM® ou de ses membres. ZeFish Virtual Machine se réserve le droit dans certaines situations extrêmes de créer une liste noire des personnes auxquelles la licence commerciale sera automatiquement refusée pendant une durée de 5 ans.
