The new Final Fantasy Heroes Project got 30 possible spots claimed in less than 2 days and we got a quite interesting variation of characters together. Who would have expected Kihmari, Quina and Cadmus Beowolf as one of the first ten FF characters while Cloud, Tidus and Lightning were left out?
We also have the new contributor class system here now in the group which allows it artists who contributed at least 1 submission to a GA-HQ art project and are in general active members to submit one deviation per week instead of a month, the contributors are also getting special rules in upcoming projects and contestsa but more about that later.
This journal is about some of the best and most interesting submissions made to the group in the last week, and now let's start!
The artworks are in no particular order.

The Dissidia Aces is another nice Final Fantasy related art collaboration/tournament idea and results in some interesting crossovers of FF characters since some months. This one was submitted just an hour ago today by

This made me thinking about asking some cosplays or photographers to be involved at the FF Tribute. 3 drawn ones and one cosplay could be a damn awesome ratio and a nice way to cover these different forms of art into the project. Rydia is a beautiful designed game character and

There are a ton of really boring 3d Model based deviations /fan arts which are nothing more than a character model ripped from a game ..and posing with wide legs etc. You get the idea. Deviations like that are never getting accepted in this group but it is sometimes hilarious how popular they are here on dA.
This Lara Croft / Tomb Raider 3D Models based fan art shows how great those can look if done with more time and motivation invested. We have multiple elements here interacting with each other (Lara and the 2 skeletons) that all in the right environment and an angle which makes this look like a screenshot of a cgi movie /cutscene.
