Holy crap that's a LOAD OF BUTTS!
Always enjoy your updates on tumblr :D he's such a fun character!
Honestly the confidence and consistency you have in drawing your own character is a major art goal over here :,D

I never know how you can draw so much and so clean all the time.....

It's called procrastinating and false productivity, yeah baby! *fingerguns*
Can't believe I used to draw this much Buttons crap in just a few months a couple years ago. But the fact I'm doing less replies means I've been doing more commissions and bigger projects (like the comic). Still really nice to wind down with these after a week of commissions.

Doing commissions is still drawing stuff tho lol Lots and lots of drawing! I just miss when I actually wanted to draw... :'I

Well yeah but I used to procrastinate with these replies instead of opening for commissions... or doing anything else that pays lol. I always have fun with them but I have to consciously stop drawing them or else I'll spend a whole week doing nothing but ask replies and self-indulgent doodles. :')
Did you get a day job or why is your motivation so low?

Yeah, I still get jealous of you being able to draw so much for yourself anyway ffff It's my severe chronic depression that's been going on for years but also my tourette's makes it physically difficult. :') I won't get into that here tho.

It's just baffling to me at this point to see people able to draw so much at all. And my lines are so scratchy lately bc of how bad my tics get. Clean lines feels so beyond me now. @@

I know my experiences are not even in the same ballpark when it comes to severity but
I look back at my 6 years of college as 6 years of unrelenting art block. I used to draw so much for myself in high-school and then I just stopped under the pressure at uni. I guess not having a good enough outlet was also part of the problem. (I always liked showing my art to friends and whoever was entertained by it and I felt like there was no one like that around at the time.) It's safe to say that time has passed. Close friends and fanart definitely helped me crawl out of that pit.
I still get a little bummed out when I think about how much better my art could be now if it wasn't put "on hold" for half a decade... but oh well, what's done is done, it could have been much worse. :)

Tbh your style is so dynamic and expressive that I wouldn't sweat it over crisp lines. You communicate stuff perfectly without them. I hope you get your mojo back eventually! I know it's hard when nothing's motivating at all, not even outside artistic motivation. Give yourself some time!
